The Run In

I woke up  and looked at my alarm clock. It was 1:45 in the afternoon. I couldn't believe I slept this late, and I missed church. After my bath last night I was so tired that I went to sleep naked with an uncharged phone. I honestly don't even remember getting in the bed.

I got up, and put my phone on the charger, grabbed my robe and put on my slippers. I walked down stairs to make me some tea. I started my Keurig, and grabbed me a mango from the refrigerator.

Just as my tea was done, I heard someone beating on my door and ringing my doorbell. I dropped the mango on the kitchen floor because I was caught off guard.

The knocking began to get louder.
I quietly walked to the door to look out the peephole, only to see my best friend Sheda at the door. I opened the door.

" BITCH YOU SCARED ME!" We screamed in unison.

"Wait, how did I scare you," "I'm not the one that didn't answer any of your text messages, and called a million times just for it to go straight to voicemail."

"Plus, I heard about the little altercation last night!" Sheda said in a annoyed tone.

"I'm sorry sis," "I was just so overwhelmed with all that happened, when I got home I took a candle lit bubble bath, drunk some wine, and blew me one."

"I legit went straight to sleep, not realizing that my phone was dead. I literally put it on the charger right before I came down to make my tea." Dream said.

Sheda sighed. "I understand, but bitch you gave me a heart attack, you didn't even come to church, and you NEVER miss church!"

"Yesterday was just not my day." I said

"What happened Dream?" She asked, genuinely concerned.
"Can we talk about it over lunch," "I'm beyond hungry!" I said

"Ugh! Fine, hurry up and get dressed. We can go to Canoe's before they close." Sheda said

I came down stairs rocking a hot pink dress, a Gucci belt, purse, sandals, hat, and my rose gold Rolex. Gucci was my favorite brand. It was a nice simple outfit.

Sheda was looking like a pot of honey. She had on a yellow dress, that hugged her brown skin and with yellow strap on heels by Gucci.

The heels showed off her long legs. Sheda was about 5'11, brown skin, and slim thick. She was a country thang from a small town in Alabama. Most guys were mesmerized by her long legs.

I grabbed my car keys. "Lets go bitch," I said. We got in my car, and I blasted Cardi B, Bickenhead. Me and Sheda rapped all the words and danced along to the song.  Five Cardi B songs later we pulled up to the restaurant. I parked my car, and we walked in, and waited on the hostess to sit us.
