Life was wonderful, the birds were singing, the flowers were blooming, and in days like these, kids like you, should be going to work.
"SONOFABITCHIMLATE!" You hollered as you shot up from your very warm bedsheets, throwing them over you.
You ran all throughout your house searching for your clothing, and while hopping all around your household, your poor toe hadn't expected the worst part of your day.
Your toe connected sharply to the edged corner of your mahogany table and you fell down immediately in pain, a tear slipped out of your eye as you cradled your foot and whimpered.
You eventually got up realizing you were becoming later by the literal seconds that passed by when holding your terribly throbbing big toe and you dressed quickly before you grabbed your keys and bolted out of the door.
"[Y/N]! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS WEEK!" Martha, your boss, shouted at you as soon as your face met the door, literally, she slammed the thing on you.
You rubbed your nose as you lightly explained and her expression softened slowly and deliberately, but you could see the obvious annoyance in her eyes as you kept rambling on about how hard you hit your big toe and stuff.
She held her hand up and your breath was knocked out of you when her gaze hardened and her mouth opened.
"[Y/n] my dear I am sorry that you had such a bad morning but you know the rules. Two chances is all you get for tardies, your fired."
You felt tears flood within your eyes and your body slacked with shock and surprise, not to mention despair, how would you pay your bills.
You tried extremely hard to insist with her, but she stood her ground firmly and she threatened to kick you out if you weren't going to buy anything.
You left a bit later after buying a donut and as you walked back to your home you pondered your heavy thoughts on any solution to what you could do now that you had no job and your bills were due this week.
You ran your hand through your hair in agitation and you discarded your barely even finished donut in a nearby trash can and grabbed a newspaper on your way home.
You arrived later on and you sat down at your table, the one that ruined your toe earlier by the way, and you began searching horribly long for any job at all that at least had a better then minimum wage pay.
After a couple of hours and with no luck once so ever, you threw the newspaper down onto your table with a large sign of anger and leaned back onto your couch, closing your eyes in thought.
When you came up with none, you heard a ding and your back pocket vibrated in response, you wondered who it could of been but smiled nonetheless when you noticed the large and bright words; PAPYRUS.
You clicked the answer option and you moved the phone away a bit to make sure you wouldn't go deaf later on and you smiled when his loud yet optimistic voice cut through the air.
"WHY HELLO [Y/N], I HEARD WHAT HAS HAPPENED AND I WISH TO GIVE MY REGARDS!"
You signed a bit and responded while adjusting your position on the couch swiftly, this thing needed to be replaced soon or you would get some sort of bone disease in your back by how seriously uncomfortable it was.
"I'm fine Pap, I may have lost my job but I'm determined I'll get a new one soon, plus I have you and Sans and everybody to help if I need it."
"WHY OF COURSE, AFFER ALL I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS, THERE ISN'T ANYTHING I CAN'T DO!"
"I totally 100% agree, well I have to go, I'll talk to you later okay Pap?"
"YES INDEED WE SHALL, SEE YOU [Y/N]!"
"..bye Papyrus."
You ended the call and you sighed heavily as you leaned forward, ignoring the stinging of your backside due to the position, but you couldn't care less right now.
You heard your phone ding again and when you looked at it you felt surprise take over your features and a mild blush cover your face. _________________________________________
