Turn four - Nice but Ice

The first week of school seemed to go by fairly slowly and annoyingly for yushida. After his duel with izuna he went from being relatively unknown to majority of the students to becoming popular seemingly overnight but unlike some yushida tried to avoid this preferring to spend his time alone at the quad for breaks and lunch or in his room after school hours. It was just before 4pm and yushida was walking along the halls of the school to try and get to his dorm room without attracting too much attention to himself but he knew that unwanted attention would always come his way, as soon as he neared the entrance to the quad from out of nowhere a large crowd of students seemed to appear and all wanted to ask him questions about his duel.

"What was it like duelling against izuna?? Was he tough for you to beat??" shouted a boy directly infront of yushida. "was it really your first time actually duelling somone???" shouted a tall girl on yushida's left."

Yushida sighed sounding annoyed and seeming to be overwhelmed by all of the attention he was getting, he just wanted some peace and quiet. "c-could I just get past?"

The students kept bothering yushida and trying to grab and question him, the situation was looking bad until a young womans voice was heard. "Students...please step away from yushida...I am sure he would like to talk about his duelling exploits but right now I think he would like to go and have a moment to himself." It was ryuoko, she was stood behind the crowds of students. After she had told the students to leave yushida be they all left and she stepped over to yushida. "Duel monsters is a bit of a craze among the kids it seems...so it's no wonder they are swarming you with so many questions right now."

Yushida sighed and looked at her. "it was just a single duel that I managed to win...they act like I'm all amazing but really I just got a bit lucky."

Ryuoko laughed and patted his shoulder. "Sometimes a lucky break can be the first step to success...I saw your duel as well...it's hard to believe it's your first duel if I'm honest."

Yushida looked at her slightly confused. "Umm how did you see it?"

"Some of the other students were recording it, I must admit some of your moves were rather impressive for someone new to the game." She laughed and started to walk with him. "I've actually played duel monsters myself."

"really??" Yushida looked at her with disbelief for.

"why yes I have...I started a few years ago after I saw the battle city tournament...yugi muto, seto kaiba, the Egyptian gods...the red-eyes black dragon helped yugi and his friend joey wheeler win a number of duels before, during and after battle city. I think as a holder of a card like Red-eyes you are likely to go very far among the students if you keep learning and practicing." Ryuoko smiled looking at him. "get going, I am sure you are tired right now and want to unwind."

Yushida nodded and kept walking. "Thank you miss kurohime."

Yushida proceeded to walk into his dorm room, the moment he got in he removed his blazer and shirt and grabbed a simple white shirt with a blue stripe and shoulders and slid it on, he kicked off his shoes and pants and then put a pair of black jeans on with black and white converse, he gave his hair a quick brush to tidy it up and then attached a metal chain to his his left most belt hoop on his hip and then the one on left one on the front of his jeans, after that he grabbed his black jacket that was lined inside with a red and black chequered pattern. This outfit look familiar? It was the outfit he had in his dream several days ago, it was just his normal everyday outfit and as such had no special meaning to him. He proceeded to leave the dorm room and head to the south entrance of the academy where hideo wanted to meet him.

"Yo yushida!!" Hideo was by the foot bridge, he shouted out to yushida and started running over. He was dressed differently to normal wearing a simply red hoodie, grey shorts and a pair of dark red shoes. "hey man you go to space or something?? What took ya so long??"
