"Hello, Majorie."

"Hello to you too,  Parker."

Parker's face split into a grin. Majorie was the perfect girlfriend. They had met on a dating website 3 years back. Parker had been looking for a simple friend when Majorie had stumbled into Parker's messages . Everything about Majorie was perfect and flawless, which made Parker wonder why she decided that a 30 year old technology specialist that's still a virgin was attractive in any way. However, Parker didn't dwell on things like that. Majorie was here and that's all that mattered.

"Did you see the new release of the Winnexxa software", Parker asked.

Majorie nodded. Her face seemed to shift to sadness for a split second before returning back to her normal vibrant grin.

"Yeah, I heard that it can delete any virus that may be trapped on someone's computer."

Parker nodded to her statement. Winnexxa 6.9 had been rumored to delete more viruses than the previous software and was amazingly far ahead other software like Windows or Apple. Winnexa was cutting edge in the technology game. Parker glanced towards Majorie. Majorie seemed much sadder, her face was still maintaining that perfect smile, but her eyes seemed darkened from sadness. It was odd to see her trying to hide her sadness, she was usually so open. Parker felt troubled. What could be wrong with Majorie?

Parker took a breath and gathered some courage. Looking into Majorie's eyes Parker asked,"Are you okay Majorie?"

Majorie seemed stunned momentarily by the question. Majorie gazed at Parker with a startled expression before returning to normal.

"I'm fine Parker."

Parker's eyebrows knitted together. She didn't seem fine, far from it actually. What could be bothering her this much? Glancing to the bottom corner of the screen, Parker saw that the Winnexxa 6.9 software update was almost done. Glancing back up, Parker noticed the worry etching itself onto Majorie's face. Parker began to worry even more. Feeling uneasy, Parker asked,"Are you sure Majorie?"

Majorie sadly gazed at Parker and sadly said,"Whatever happens, please just don't forget about me. Please don't hate me. I love you Parker."

Parker's faced looked at Majorie with confusion and returned her sentiment with a befuddled, but all the same heartfelt 'I love you too'. Suddenly his vision of Majorie was blocked by a pop-up.

Virus detected. Delete?

Clicking yes Parker looked to Majorie. Suddenly she glitched, mouthing goodbye, she vanished.  Parker's eyes widened in shock. Majorie was simply a virus, a glitch in the system. Was their relationship a lie? Parker felt numb. Everything seemed to stay frozen in that shocked, sad moment when Marjorie disappeared from the screen.

Majorie stared at the screen of a frozen Parker. Sighing she closed her computer. She never did tell Parker of the AI feature on her computer. Parker would never know that they were the virus, the glitch. Parker was a program in Majorie's computer, a loved program that could never be discarded by Majorie herself. Majorie sighed. Parker's program had been doing a routine cleanup. A cleanup that happens every 4 years. Parker would be back and then Majorie could fall in love all over again. Nothing could make her regret the four years spent together, except the body laying in a hospital bed, frozen in time since age 30.
