Evelyn stared blankly at the white wall in front of her. The room was silent other than the occasional clicks from the clock. She parted her lips slightly hoping a sound would come out to break the silence. Nothing.

How long would she have to wait here. She couldn't stand it anymore, just waiting. She wanted answers and she wanted them now. Evelyn stood up abruptly, and jumped as the chair she was sitting in crashed to the ground with a loud bang, finally breaking the silence. She heard footsteps come up to the door.

"Is everything alright in there Miss Greene?"
"Yes, a chair just tipped over." She stated emotionless.
"Please remain seated until instructed otherwise." The footsteps trailed off.

Evelyn slowly picked the chair off the ground. She lowered herself into it and covered her head, she pulled strands of her hair out and laid them across the cold metal table next to her. She started to count the clicks from the clock.
"One..."
"Two..."
"Three..." She stared emotionless at the strands.
"Four..."
"Five..."
"Six..." She pulled out another strand.
"Seven..."
"Eight..."
"Nine..." She laid her head next the strands.
"Ten..."
"Elev--" The static of the intercom interrupted her counting. She whipped her head up and listened closely.

"Miss Greene?"
"Yes?" She answered the intercom.
"We have new instructions for you." She smiled a bit, finally maybe she wouldn't have to sit in this lonely room anymore. "Please exit to the right, and follow the hall. At the end of the hall you will meet someone. Do NOT interact with them. Just simply follow them." She quickly nodded, then realized the voice couldn't see her. "Y-yes, I understand."

The intercom shut off and the door unlocked. Evelyn slowly made her way to it and wandered down the way until she met a tall man. He was bald and very buff, he had a scar across his right eye. His nose was a little crooked and his lips in a permanent frown. He grunted and opened a dark brown door. She followed him cautiously. It was dark and damp, the man had a fast pace, and Evelyn struggled to keep up. A half hour passes by and they come to a stop. The man grunted again and pushed Evelyn through another door. She shrieked and barely catches herself from falling on her face. She huffed and looked back at the man in time to see him closing the door behind her. She brushed off the rubble and dust from her knees and hands.

She shaded her eyes from the blinding sun.
"Is that.....the sun?!?" She fell back onto her knees. "Am I finally outside again?" Tears rushed down her face and the sun beamed of her skin. She'd been locked in for two years. Evelyn wondered if her Mother was okay. If Peter had finally been caught. If her family was safe again.
