FINN WAS LUCKY that the next morning, when he got to set he found out that all of his scenes were delayed for filming. he basically had the whole morning free, and he already knew what he was going to do.
grabbing some money, his phone, the book "the goldfinch" wich he was currently reading and his skateboard he skated back to "poppy's". the familiar bell noise wen't off as he entered the diner, he sat at a booth and looked through the menu, hoping nora was working in the morning. "hi welcome to poppy's, what can i get you today?" finn felt a small frown growing on his face as he saw an older girl, who strongly resembled nora, in front of him "i still haven't decided "finn gave her an akward smile"uh, is nora working today?" the older girl gave a small laugh as she looked at the curly haired boy "she in fact is, just a second" she left the booth and wen't back into the kitchen.

"and since when do you have a boyfriend" i heard my sister say as she entered the kitchen, i was instantly confused by the sentence. "uhm, what?" "there's a boy outside, he asked if you were working today?" "well i can assure you that no boy likes me enough to date me, who was it" i started walking to the small window wich you could see the main part of the diner through as she continued talking "didn't say his name. curly hair, lanky" i noticed him and a small smile grew on my face, finn "oh yeah, he came here yesterday. it was the first time i talked to him though" "well, don't keep him waiting" she smirks and gives a little wink. i roll my eyes and leave the kitchen

"you actually came back" finn perked his head up to see a smiling nora. marking where he left in his book, he put it to the side and smiled. "yeah, i had the free morning so i decided to come back" "free morning? like from school?" "uhm, yeah" he felt a little akward, not wanting to say the truth. he didn't want her to treat him like some celebrity "okay then, whatcha reading?" he picked up the book slowly and passed it to her, the bookmark wich was marked only a few pages in showing. "the goldfinch!! i love this book, you'll definitely enjoy it" she passed the book back to him and they smiled at eachother once again. "did my sister say anything weird to you? she thought you were my boyfriend" she let out a little laugh "i knew you two looked alike. but no, she barely said anything." "ginny is very overprotective, she basically runs the diner now. anyways, im guessing you're here for the pancakes?" he nodded his head, he felt like he couldn't talk. he just stared at the beauty in front of him "and do i need to make 10 coffee's again today?" "luckily, no. i'll just have a hot choclate" "coming right up" nora gave him a small wink as she walked away.

"here's your food, and here's the check. enjoy, and if you need anything just ask" "thanks" he gave her, for the thousandth time, a small smile as she went back to the bar like section to sit next to her sister, continuing the converesation they were having. after finishing his meal, finn looked back at nora and signalled to her asking for her to come as she did. "did you enjoy your meal?" she said as she grabbed the dirty plate & cup. "it was delicious, thank you"
"it's my job" she shrugged and went to put away the empty dishes before quickly coming back. "well, i have to get going. i'll have to come back to you with updates on my thoughts on the book" "oh yes, definitely! thanks for coming, i hope to see you soon" she looked at him as he packed his stuff back into his backpack and taking his skateboard into his hand. "i hope so too. see you later, nora" and that smile nora grew to love, seeing it many times throughout the day, appearead again and she replied the same. finn wen't out the door and nora back to her sister
