* Morning Light Found the wolves *

Sniffing the trail of human blood each dug out of the snow that had covered it.

Four wolves ran up the hill to the rock shelter.

But only one wolf climbed the rock to let out a mournful howl before

hanging her head.

Koga took the call as he let Kagome down before speeding to get with his wolves.

Seeing the lead wolf laying down on top of the rock with her head laying on her paws told him

the news wasn't good.

Rushing up, he found nothing..till he came to two of the wolves laying on a small mound

of snow.

Koga fought hard to dig in the snow.

Barely alive, Raven was slipping into a deeper colder sleep.

* Raven/ Lord Inu-no-Taishou *

"What will it be Lady WhiteEagle?" He asked feeling time draw near.

Not wanting to leave the girl on her own, but he can't make up her mind for her.

She has to want to live.

"I'm not sure I care to go back..and to what?" Besides it would be impossible for me to live again." I said.

"Back to what..., you have everything to go back to." Ah you mean..Sesshomaru."

"Yes I understand now." Raven this is no place for you or for whom you have inside you that is wanting to be born." Lord Inu-no-Taishou said as he placed a hand on my stomach.

With tears in my eyes, I give him a reason why.

"I can't..I can't let him die as you did." It would be a cruel route for me to take." No..I pray you and your son will forgive me." But I can't be his reason for failure." I said.

"It would even be more crule not to let Sesshomaru choose for himself." He said then silent.

Lord Inu-no-Taishou was gone and I was alone as I looked in all directions.

*Scene*

Raven holds the sword straight up and down as the sword opened a black hole.

Koga jumps back at the horror of seeing the sword do what he had just seen. He bumped back into Sesshomaru whom as well witnessed the sight.

Black hole opens bigger as the Great one steps out. Then the hole closes as the sword lays back down on Raven's chest.

"Father!" Both Sesshomaru & Inuyasha said at the same time in surprise.

"My Sons" Lord Inu-no-Taishou said as he knelt down to the fur cloaked body of the one he has been with all this time.

"She lives, but has no will to go on living." he said as he picked up the body.

"Why would she wish to give up? Inu-no-Taishou asked knowing her answer but seeing the answer in his eldest son's actions as Sesshomaru bowed his head for a moment before proudly holding his head up to look at Raven.

"Give her to me..Father." Sesshomaru ordered to his father that held tight to the body awhile longer before giving her over to his son.

All watched as Sesshomaru did his energy ball and was gone.

*Maymay/Kaede/Rin*

Door is kicked wide open.

Sesshomaru clears the table with on swipe. And Raven is laid upon it.

"Lord Sesshomaru." Rin whispered as she watched him lean into Raven.

Kaede took Raven's sword, feels for a heartbeat..it's there but it's weak.

"She won't live long enough to give birth." I'm sorry, she is just too weak." Kaede said as she touched the man's shoulder before walking to be close to her friend Maymay who was hanging her head.

Rin was confused at what was going on, but she knew it wasn't good.

" I told you son, she doesn't have the will to live." Even you, with Tenseiga can't make that choice for her." Lord Inu-no-Taishou said as he ducked to enter Maymay's home as he looked upon all the surprised faces of his arrival.

Inu-no-Taishou watched his son slide his hand down to lay on the girl's round belly.

Wishing there was something he could do.

Raven was doing this for his son.." Honorable thought yet she don't know how powerful his son is.

She needed to give the boy a chance.

"Son, pull away. She is going." Don't do this." Inu-no-Taishou said in a dry choking tone as he placed a hand on his son's back who was not making a move to leave the girl.

*Raven*

I smiled as my world brightly opened back up for me.

My golden field and my white stallion.

"Raven." A voice said my name, that I had never heard come from his mouth.

I stopped from walking to look around for him.

"Sesshomaru." I.. will always love you." I said wanting to hear his voice one last time.

* Sesshomaru*

In awe, all watched as Raven slowly reached to cradle Lord Sesshomaru's head to her neck. As she spoke in a weak voice.

"Forgive me..I love you." I said as my hand slid back down from him as I once again came to seeing my Beautiful field.

This time there was no coming back...Or is there?
