Marco's POV:

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate Mewni guards? In case you didn't I really, really do. As soon as I heard the half-familiar footsteps I snapped up from the ground, next to Star, it was like time was frozen as they looked me dead in the eye. I knew that they were here for Star, at any cost. Except, I wasn't going to let them. Nobody was going to Star away from me, not when I'd just got her.
I hurriedly turned to shake Star to see her already sitting up with a look of determination on her face. " Come on, we've got to go. They've seen us and I know they won't stop till they've searched everywhere at least three times, and still not found us." She instantly got off the ground and started packing the food and blanket, the guards thundering towards us, but for some reason not running.
I got up to help and about seven seconds later we were done, and Star grabbed my hand and laced our fingers together. "Run." She whispered, and run we did. (I'm really sorry if this is horrible I have a really bad headache as I'm editing this and it's really distracting.)
We ran all the way back to the room in which we were staying, taking at least forty-five minutes to get here, as we had to backtrack to avoid guards which were everywhere. As soon as that door slammed behind us we let go of each other, unfortunately, and automatically began to pack up everything we had with us. Just like we'd done every couple of days.
I went straight to my room, Star going to hers. After getting my backpack open, I went to pack up the very few amount of clothes I had with me. Then the little things to remind me of earth. A picture of my parents, another picture of the time I took Star to the beach, and a couple of Harry Potter books. Also, if you were wondering I personally ship Drarry, but others are allowed their opinions. I do miss my parents and the Lazer puppies. However, being here with Star, even with the almost death is better than sitting at home eating nachos on friendship Thursday cause your best friends gone. Though we'll probably have to change that now. Still, a small smile graced my face when I looked through this stuff, then quickly moved on at the prospect of the guards knocking at the door any minute. Zipping up my bag and walking down the small corridor that led to the kitchen and living room. I made it to the kitchen before Star, and decided to sit down and wait, as this was Star. A sigh escaped my mouth and I started to tap my foot on the ground in impatience and panic.
Mainly, only because I now had time to collect my thoughts and overthink certain things. My brain made me start thinking about what if they actually managed to get her back to Mewni. If I had to go back to earth without her, wasn't exactly the best thing to think about either.
Luckily, I was saved from my thoughts when Star stomped into the kitchen and placed down her unicorn themed bag on the table, and turned to me.
"Is that everything we brought?" She asks all businesslike with none of her usual craziness which made me be more worried than I needed to be.
" Yeah, that's everything for me. You?" I reply just to make sure.
"Yep." She says popping the pon her lips adorably.
"So we're all good to g-?" Was going to ask, but a crashing knock came from outside the door instead and we both grimace." Before that happens." I finish with the tenth sigh of the day. Ding, ding, ding we have a winner now the prize is either jump through the portal to another dimension or get taken by violent guards, both of which could end in death take pick. Star just smiled at me and holds up her dimensional scissors. I give her a small smile back, as it's impossible to not to smile when she is.
" Cool. Let's go before they manage to break down the door, and take you away from me."
She giggles at me and rolls her eyes, before turning away from me and beginning to cut through the air? Still, have no idea how those scissors work. I take a single look around before grabbing my bag and Star's hand. Making sure she had her bag as well, I pulled her into the other dimension. The portal(?) closed behind us and I was going to take a sigh of relief as we were now safe. However," Who the bubbles are you, and what are you doing in my house.
