When I was about to inquire more about the subject, I sensed the aura of a different demon. It was strangely familiar, it was so familiar that my mind turned blank for a moment before without warning I got up, and walked toward the front door and opened it. "Hello kid, do you remember me?" Inquired a grey haired middle aged man with a cane wearing a red costume, he stood with a warm smile and black eyes as sinful as a demon.
Hearing one of the voices that hunt my dream in person, brought all the memory that were stored so deep, to be recalled, as I was plunged into that time when I thought that a closed closet will keep me safe, that in the darkness, my demons will be as lost as I am, and as scared as I was. God how I was wrong.
When I was a lost kid who didn't even know what kind of creature I was and fooled by appearance having been thrown in an orphanage because no one knew where I had come from. Raised with humans, I foolishly thought that I was the same. A time where I was powerless and so foolish, and the time where I was happy for the first time and last time since I can remember. When I met them I had found a place where I could call home, a home that was cruelly taken from me while I was thrown into my cursed path.
I just stood there looking at him savoring every flow of that time as I murmured his name. "Mammon!"
"I'm glad you still remember me! Well, I was kind of disappointed when I heard from Satan that you wanted to end our little contact I thought you were happy." he declared.
"Happy..." I mumbled my eyes blank.
"You took my emotions...." I murmured in a quiet voice
"Well, I do have to feed, and your emotions we're the most delectable I have ever had in my life." He said with hungry eyes.
"You took my sanity...." I murmured again.
"Got to say, seeing the carnage you brought always made me giggle, so I couldn't help myself with that one, but don't you seem to make too much like the bad guys? I'm sure that between us the one who mercilessly murdered human and demons the most will be you."
He was right the lives that I had taken were far more numbered on my board, and it had cost me a piece of my soul that was lost, leaving an emptiness that gnawed from the inside. But I had once promised to live for the better or the worst, I would live even if I am an empty shell. However, I regret nothing even if I had the chance to choose again I would still slaughter them all.
"You're right. That why after that you took my soul...Well, that one wrong I heard you were too weak to get it." I said my eyes emotionless.
The smile he had on, immediately disappeared the second he heard that, and that was so refreshing for me.
"YOU? STRONGER THAN ME? YOU WHO WERE THROW OUT FROM BOTH WORD AND BROUGHT HERE LIKE TRASH? DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH!" He probably wanted to hurt me, but him losing his cool was so much fun that I just shoot him a diabolic smile. "If you really believe so...Then why do I still own my soul?" I said mocking him with a smirk.
"Maybe I wasn't able to get yours, but how about your friends? I still have their soul imprint, stealing theirs would be a piece of cake for me." He replied smirking his eyes more demonic than ever.
Hearing that, I couldn't control myself I threw myself at him, but he took his cane and hit my stomach with it sending me crashing into a tree as blood started to fall from my head.
"Weren't you saying that you were stronger than me? It looks like, after all, you've been through, they will end up dying by my hand." He declared, mocking me.
'I need to kill him. If he flees, all those years of torment would have been for nothing, and I would lose them again' When I suddenly thought of the only solution that can help me kill him.
