Prologue
"I said: NO SUGAR! Why can't anyone here do the right thing? I especifically said no sugar, which meant no sugar!! Did I not say it in ENGLISH! Should I speak in Spanish?? Sin azúcar!!" Perrie yelled throwing her coffee mug on the ground, smashing it into a million pieces. Everyone in the meeting room stared at her, as she screamed at her assistant after she went to get her order. Everyone knew she had asked with sugar, but they all presumed the assistant would know better, but it seems as if she didn't.
"Perrie, can you tone it down a notch? We are in the middle of a band meeting." Jade, who was supposedly to be the leader of the band, asked Perrie, motioning her hand to emphazise the lowering of the tone. Perrie grinned at Jade and threw all the papers in front of her to the ground. Their Manager, Laver, stood up ready to tell Perrie off, but his secretary adviced him to stay seated. He would not want to make Perrie even more pissed off.
"It's like EVERYONE IS AGAINST ME!" Perrie cried out and everyone just rolled their eyes. There she was again, making a big scene out of nothing. "Are you all forgetting who matters the most in here? I DO!? So unless my useless piece of shit of an assistant brings me the right coffee, I will not care about this band meeting." Laver really wanted to say something but held it back, because Perrie was indeed the key of success in the band.
"Sorry Pez, I will get you a new coffee. Sorry for interrupting the meeting. Sorry." Perrie's assistant, Wendy, apologized, holding back her tears. She is always getting yelled at by Perrie, but today was different. She could smell her job getting taken away from her at any moment.
Perrie stood up and looked at her assistant. She started laughing and clapped her hands together, noticing how pathetic her assitant was. "Wendy. You are so stupid. So, so, stupid! You stink and your hair always looks like shit. Why bother work for me if you can't keep up. You are always messing things up. Last week you brought the wrong dress and the brand almost sued me, A couple of days ago you broke the heels of my shoes. You are worth nothing. What is it so hard about a coffee order Wendy? UHM? NOTHING I TELL YOU. NOTHING!"
"Pez, I'm-" Everyone in the room was shocked after Wendy fell on the ground crying. Her apology was cut short by Perrie's hand palm, which slapped hard across Wendy's face. Laver stood up and both Jade and Jesy had to hold him.
"1) Don't call me Pez; 2) You are fired and 3) I don't ever want to see your ugly face." Perrie warned, storming out of the building. She could hear Laver screaming at her back, telling her to change her ways before she gets herself fired, but Perrie didn't bother. She doesn't even know why she is still in the band. With the fame she has, she could just go solo and become even more famous.
But Perrie wasn't like this. She used to be calm and cool and she would never be able to scream and hit an employer like that. Fame as changed her. She no longer cares what people say about her. All she wants is to become more famous with the help of some PR relationships and bigger verses in Little Mix songs. She wants to be bigger than any other female artist, and because of that ambition, her heart became cold and she no longer cares about others.
Zayn was different. He was someone better than Perrie. Someone who knew how to value what he had. Sometimes.
"Listen, so far, we haven't got any new personal assistants requests, but Zayn I promise you that the next one will be yours." Zayn heard his boss say for the 100th time. It was like he didn't believe that Zayn would be good enough as a personal assistant. Since he arrived in the agency, Zayn has only trained as a overall assistant, never having one person to serve. But now he wants to become a personal assistant, because they gain more money and he needs to pay rent.
"Fred, can't you just do some calls and find me a job? Please. I really need a bigger pay." Zayn pleaded and Fred sighed. He as watched Zayn struggle, working here and there, always trying to be a good employer. But now he was asking for too many favors and Fred couldn't do all of them.
"I will see what I can do." Fred said and Zayn thanked him and left the room excited. Just as Zayn left, Fred's phone started ringing. He picked it up but noticed it wasn't a familiar number. "You are looking for a new personal assistant who can handle a hot headed boss?....Let me think." Fred thought for a moment about which of his assistants who could handle a diva like Perrie Edwards.
Zayn peaked through the door and Fred looked at him. "Just so you know, I was evesdropping and I would not care if my boss was a pain the ass, as long as they pay me well." He said it very quick and Fred nodded his head. After Fred focused again on his phone call, Zayn left the place running, hoping Fred would choose him. He was in desperate need of a job, a good one, even if the person he works for is horrible, Zayn doesn't care. He wants to be paid well.
"Yeah, I might have someone who would be perfect to work for Miss Edwards."
