CHAPTER 41: Bad mood

"Dad what happened? What did you say?" I immediately asked when we entered the room again.

"Don't worry,I didn't hurt him you know.Just ask him what I said." Daddy answered and looked at Dei that is now blank.

Hinila ko siya palabas so we can do a private talk.

"Tell me Dei,what did Daddy told you?" seryoso't kinakabahan na tanong ko.

His expression is still blank."Nothing,he just said na..." he trailed off."Na alagaan daw kita dahil balang araw ako din naman daw ang mag-aalaga sayo." he continued and that made me confused.

"What do you mean?" nakakunot-noo kong tanong.

"Tanggap niya ako,Zy.He wants me for you." nakangiti niyang sabi at napangiti naman ako nang dahil sa kanyang sinabi.

"Really?!" I assured.

He nodded and I hugged him tight and ran in the room and hugged my father.

"Thank you Daddy!" I shouted because of my overflowing joy.

Daddy rubbed my back."You're welcome my dear princess." he said.

Nung humiwalay na kami,naramdaman ko naman ang kamay ni Dei Dei sa kamay ko.

"Remember Zyrenne,relationships are going to be tougher when you're always positive." Daddy said and we smiled at him until he turned his head to Riley."Ikaw Ri,does anybody courting you?" he asked and Riley's eyes widened.

"No Dad.And isa pa,I'm only 16 years old." sagot naman ni Riley.

"Well pwede na ang ganung edad para sa isang relasyon." sabi naman ni Daddy at tinapik naman ni Mommy ang kanyang braso.

"Oliver,stop spoiling your daughter.Wag mo siyang madaliin.Hindi dapat siya ang naghahanap sa forever niya." sabi ni Mommy and that made us smile.

"Okay okay." sabi nalang ni Daddy at mukhang talo na nga siya.

Mom and Riley fell asleep kaya naiwan kaming gising tatlo nina Daddy and Dei.We're indian sitting on the floor while playing UNO until Dad spoke.

"Zyrenne,kailan niyo balak magpakasal?" tanong ni Daddy at mabilisan akong napaharap sa kanya with my widened eyes.

"What?!" medyo malakas na sigaw ko and thankfully,hindi nagising sina Mommy.

Dad laughed."I was just joking Zyrenne.But even if that's only a joke,it will happen in the future.Am I right Deinile?" Daddy said and pay attention to Dei that is now looking at my Dad too.

"I-I guess,Tito..." Dei Dei answered at nagkunwari pang kinakati ang batok.

Napakunot naman ng noo si Daddy."What do you mean? Don't you like to get married with my daughter?" he asked.

"No,not that,Tito." sabi ni Dei."It's just...kung papayag si Zyrenne." he continued and turned his head to me.

My eyes widened again."I don't think she'll refuse." Dad said.

"Oo nga pala Zyrenne,I heard about your asthma.Lumalala ba?" Daddy changed the topic and that made me breath normally again.

Umiling naman ako."No Daddy.I'm fine.Even if my asthma's going to attack me,it's vanishing quickly.Nothing to worry about it,Dad." I answered and he smiled.

Nabaling naman ang atensyon namin sa pintuan nang biglang pumasok ang doktor at kasabay nun ang paggising nina Mommy and Riley.

"Doc,how's my husband?" Mommy immediately asked the doctor.
