*The next night*

All day, Scott hasn't said a word to Mitch other than "I'm going out. Don't ask where, because that's not your business. I'll be back later, foods in the kitchen.".

While Scott's been out, Mitch decides to write more lines to his song.

"I've been settling scores, I've been fighting so long, but I've lost your war, and our kingdom is gone. How shall I win back your heart, which was mine. I have broken bones, and tattered clothes. I've run out of time"

Some lyrics he writes because of his experiences with Scott, but some he wishes would be.

As the hours pass by, it's 10:21 at night and Mitch is asleep on the couch, but is soon woken up by Scott and some guy pushing the door open while, yes, you guessed it, making out.

Mitch jumps, startled by the bang of the door.

Mitch: Jesus, Scott!

He snaps. His anger and fear turns to a slight show of sadness when he sees Scott kissing the other guy.

Scott: Be quiet, Mitch.

He says between kisses.

Mitch sighs and goes to his room when Scott starts to undo his pants.

As he lays in bed, he sings Valentine softly to himself just to keep from hearing the obnoxious banging on the wall and constant moans and groans of Scott and the stranger in the bedroom next door.

He tosses and turns as he tries to sleep but can't seem to block the noise. He's even tried putting a pillow over both ears, but it doesn't help.

After about forty-five minutes, Mitch hears the guy leave the house and all is quiet except for Scott in the kitchen.

Mitch decides to confront him.

Luckily, Scott had his pajamas on.

Mitch: Scott, I know I don't live here and you're helping me out even though you hate me...which really doesn't make sense..but could you please not bring your sex boys here when I'm here?

Scott doesn't answer.

Mitch: Scott....Scott.....SCOTT!

He yells but with no response.

Unknowing Mitch was there, Scott walks back to his room and listens to music.

Mitch: Excuse me!

He follows him.

Scott: What do you want?

He snaps.

Mitch: You to not have sex when I'm here would be nice!

He snaps back.

Scott: Deal with it or go live on the streets.

Mitch: Why do you have to have sex with random strangers?! Isn't that dangerous? You could get a disease!

Scott: What do you care?

Mitch: I...I don't...

Scott: Good. Now leave. I'm trying to listen to music.

Every now and then, Mitch notices Scott won't answer him when spoken to. This was one of those moments, and it really made Mitch mad.

Mitch: No! Not until you promise not to bring your sex boys here when I am! Why do you have sex with guys you don't know anyways?!

Scott doesn't answer.

Mitch: Scott!...Scott!!....Scott, god damn it! Answer me!

He then notices the hearing aids in Scott's ears.

His anger flies away as guilt takes over.

Mitch: Oh my god...

He says softly.

Just then, Scott's hearing aids flick back on.

Scott: What?! Can't a guy listen to music in peace?!

Mitch stares at him with a sorry look in his eyes.

Scott: What the fuck are you staring at?!

Mitch: You weren't ignoring me...

Scott: What are you talking about?!

Mitch: You really were TRYING to listen to music...

Scott: Whatever.

Mitch: Scott, you're deaf!

He says as he sits on the side of Scott's bed.

Scott: Yeah..so? Who the hell cares?!

He sasses as he turns to face away from Mitch.

Mitch: Why didn't you tell me?

Scott: Because it's not your damn business that's why. Now can I please go to sleep?!

Mitch smiles, noticing Scott said "please". He's never told him that.

Mitch: Goodnight, Scott.

When he looks back when he reaches the door because he didn't get a reply, he sees Scott already asleep.

Mitch lays back in his own bed and is able to sleep with a smile on his face knowing he is making progress with Scott.
