Chapter 3

Clarke

"Texting your boy friend?" Murphy questions

"No my friend Octavia. I came with her."

"Oh little Blake. I know her. Her and her brother have been my friends since forever." He says

"That's cool. Maybe I'll see you around more then." I smirk

"You'd like that wouldn't you." He says

"Give me your phone." I say

He hands me his phone and I put in my number. "Text me."

I get out of the car and go to my room. I change into a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie. I make a bowl of ice cream and curl up in bed and watch friends. Something happens in friends and I start laughing hard. I hear my phone ring. I pause my show and answer it without looking at who called.

"Hello?" I say

"Clarke. It's Murphy."

"How'd you get my number?" I ask him

"You put it in my phone."

"Oh yea. Duh I remember. What's up Murphy?"

"Well, I was wondering if sometime you wanted to hang out. Say tomorrow at 7:30?"

"What would we do?"

"Go see a movie."

"Okay. Pick me up at 6."

"Alright. See you then."

I hang up. I decide to go to sleep since I'm really tired. I wake up and get ready for school. I throw on a plain black, cropped hoodie with a pair a black leggings. I pull on my combat boots and throw my hair up in a messy bun. I put on some foundation and a little mascara. I walk downstairs and see my Aunt Jenna passed out on the couch, still in her hospital scrubs. I walk over and kiss her forehead. She mumbles a few words that sound like "leave me alone" and "stop touching me" before she rolls away from me. I laugh at her and go to my car.

After school I rush home. I take a quick shower and blow dry my hair. I decide to leave my hair with it's natural curls. I do some eyeliner and mascara before going to get dressed. I decide to wear a lot of dark blue jeans, with a hole in the knee and a light pink tank top, and a pair of converse. I put on a necklace that says love to finish off the outfit. When I'm all dressed and ready to go it's only 5:30pm. Jenna is working another night shift at the hospital so I'm home alone.

At 6 I hear the door bell ring. I turn off the tv. I stand up and grab my little purse before going to answer the door. He smiles at me and leans in to hug me, I hug him back.

"Ready to go?" He holds his hand out to me

I take it. "Let's go."

On the drive to the movie we decided to stop at the dollar store to buy candy so we didn't have to pay $5 for one box of candy. After 6 minutes of staring at the candy we each finally decided on a kind. I got Bottle caps and Murphy got skittles. After we're back in the car he turns on the radio and we listen to music the whole way there.

After the movie he dropped me off at home. I changed out of my clothes and threw on some comfy clothes. I brushed my hair and braided it, washed my face and took off my necklace. I crawled into bed and laid on my phone.

Octavia~ Hey girl. How was the date.

Me~ It was great. He's really sweet but I don't think I like him like that. Like I mean he's not ugly but he's just not my type. You know what I mean?

Octavia~ I know girl. We've all been there.

After a few hours of talking to Octavia I decide to go to sleep.

I wake up to the the sound of the goddamn alarms clock. I pick it up, stand up from the bed and throw the alarm Clarke down the stairs.

"Clarke Jesus. What was that?" Jenna yells up to me.

"Damn alarm clock."

"Clarke, you and that alarm clock have a worse relationship than me and men."

I laugh and get dressed for school. I decide on a blue tee shirt and some white ripped jeans. I throw on a pair a black tennis shoes and go downstairs. Aunt Jenna slide me a bowl of oatmeal and a spoon as I sit down beside her at the island.

"So I was promoted at the hospital!" She blurts our really excitedly

"That's great Aunt Jenna! I'm happy for you."

"I know! But I have to go to Montana for 4 months for some study program thing. To be honest I don't remember. I leave tomorrow. But, uh I don't know. Will you be fine by yourself?"

"I'll be fine. Go."

"Thank you. I love you kiddo. I gotta go to work don't be late for school. Have a good day!"

"You too. I love you."

Hey guys. I know it's been a minute since my last update and I'm sorry. I'm leaving to go to California for a week this Tuesday so I will write a few chapters and hopefully post some while im in Cali. But if I don't I will definitely post when I get back. 💜
