Third person POV~
Xavier stood at the side of the street, anxiously waiting for the light to let her pass . If she was late this time, she would get detention from one of her least favorite teacher, Mr. Park.

Mr. Park was one of those teachers, that if you showed up to class 1 minute past the late bell, then you would instantly get detention.

Time skip~ 30 minutes later
Xavier rushed through the classroom door, only to find nobody in the room. In desperate attempts to find her class Xavier looked in the auditorium, gym, and science lab only to find nothing.
Breathless, tired, and exhumed were the only words to describe Xavier as she walked back to Mr. Parks classroom. This time to find all of her classmates including Mr. Park talking about some book.

As she walked in Xavier could already see the look on her teacher's face. She knew that she had lost the fight. Mr. Park had won and now she had to face him.

"Xavier" Mr. Park said. I nod and then say yes. "You're late again." "

"Yeah, I know. But I have a really good reason. I came here early and I didn't see you guys so I looked in the gym, auditorium-

"Shut it Xavier" he said.

" Xavier, you've been late everyday this semester. You've given me pointless excuses, but it's time for you to learn your lesson, Xavier you have detention after school for 3 hours."

Third person POV ~
As Xavier internally screamed inside her head for having 3 hours of detention, everyone else was having fun laughing at her.

Defeated,Xavier felt defeated. She never wanted detention, especially today of all days. Every year on April 1s, Xavier and her mother would honor his death, it was their tradition. Xavier's father died when she was two. Since, she didn't have any memories of him, she just went off what her. Xavier was furious, all she wanted was to go with her mother.

For the rest of the period Xavier was a mini tornado ready to rip Mr. Park's head off his body.

Xavier, not knowing that this detention would change her life forever!
