Lily POV
I woke up at 6 am as usual. When I got outside of my house, I did my morning routine. I picked some fruits, checked the stores, went to the Town Hall to deal with business, went to the Campground to check in with Harvey, walked over to the Police Station for any news, and talked to some villagers.
After my routine, I was now sitting on a bench. I stared up at the sky, thinking about my town, Serenity.
A very beautiful town. I worked really hard to make Serenity the best place to live in. Serenity used to be a boring, plain town. But when I became mayor, I made big plans that made Serenity reach the perfect town status.
It reached the goal a year ago, and our retired mayor was very proud, so was my secretary, Isabelle. I upgraded the shops and made many public works projects. All of my hard work was worth it because many new people started to move in.
Animal villagers like Sparro, Willow, Puddles, and Gruff moved in. Villagers like me moved in too. Such as Anna, Tom, and Joe. Residents in Serenity currently are:Anna
Joe
Tom
Sparro
Willow
Puddles
Gruff
Yuka
Tex
Scoot
Sally
SylviaAll of these residents are really kind and unique in their own ways. Especially Joe, he is a very interesting guy. Quiet and shy. He is the one who always go to the T&T Emporium just to buy plant seeds. He's an expert florist.
Anna is a fisher and she's also my childhood friend. We knew each in our old town and she moved to Serenity when she heard me became mayor.
Tom is another resident here. He catches bugs and earns huge amount of bells. He lives in a mansion-sized house. Anna moved in first, then Joe, and then Tom.
They're amazing people to have and spend time with. Each of us have a specialty. I collect fruits and seashells, Anna fishes and captures sea creatures, Tom captures bugs, and Joe plants flowers. Everybody in town contributes to make Serenity a great town, and I am grateful for that.
I was still in my train of thoughts about Serenity until I saw someone pass by.
I looked at the town clock and saw that it was already 7 am. I couldn't believe I didn't hear the bell ring, I guess I was really deep into my thoughts.
The villager I saw was Joe, he was picking flowers and planting trees.
I stared at him picking flowers, watering them, smelling them, wearing them, and...
"Are you okay Lily?" He asked.
He startled me, I think he caught me staring at him.
Joe is very pleasing to look at though. Others might not think so, but he is very eye catching. He has black hair, sad, yet sweet eyes, a skull shirt, shorts, and checkered loafers.
His personality catches me, he is sweet and shy. Quiet and cute. Mysterious but enchanting...
I was beginning to get lost in my thoughts again until I remembered Joe was talking to me.
"Oh, I'm fine," I replied very late,"I was just daydreaming."
He gave me a worried look. I smiled reassuringly so I wouldn't look like I didn't zone out.
"Uhmm...okay," he responded awkwardly, "I wanted to ask how you were doing, but you were in your own world."
"I'm really sorry," I said apologetically.
"I-I d-didn't mean to make you feel bad," he stuttered, looking down.
He was truly adorable at that moment.
"No no, it's okay," I said trying to comfort him from the awkward air between us.
Joe moved his head up to look at me, and never have I ever seen anything more cuter than his blushing face. I was mesmerized.
"I..," he mumbled,"-I have to go now."
He went off running away somewhere and I sat there with a blank expression.
The conversation we had was extremely awkward. Him running away suddenly makes it more awkward.
He probably thought that I was judging him. But I didn't mind at all. Him being shy, awkward, and quiet is what I like about him.
When he's in his green thumb mode, I find him really attractive. But he doesn't know that I feel that way towards him.
