It's 7 in the morning. You already have Sophie's diaper bag packed and ready to go. These past few months, since you've been so busy at work, Jeff's been really great about bringing Sophie to daycare, her basketball games, doctor's appointments...you name it. He loves spending the extra time with her.

You're sipping your coffee at the kitchen table and responding to a few client emails. You glance up from your screen and Jeff walks into the kitchen, holding Sophie with his left arm. They both just woke up. Sophie has her head leaning on his chest, she's still half asleep. He's shirtless with grey sweatpants. He walks over to you, looks into your eyes and smiles, leans over and kisses you on the forehead, and whispers, "morning" in his raspy morning voice. He sits Sophie in her high chair, pours cheerios on the table for her, and heads up stairs to get ready for his day at work.

30 minutes later he jogs down the stairs in his work suit. It's his usual navy blue suit and pale pink tie combo with brown shoes. You would complain that he wears it too much but you don't because it's your favorite outfit on him. He's already on a work call. He's rushing around the kitchen, grabbing a to-go coffee mug. He pours himself a coffee, walks over to you, refills your mug and you smile at him. He smiles back as he continues to talk on the phone. He grabs Sophie, slings the diaper bag over his shoulder, grabs his coffee, and grabs the car keys. He's struggling to carry everything as he's walking out the door because he's still holding the phone to his ear. Before he walks out the door, he mouths "i love you". He walks out the door and you hear him starting up the Range Rover.

He sits Sophie in her car seat and buckles her up. He shuts the door and starts to walk to his side of the car. He tells the person on the phone, "yeah, we'll seal the deal." He gets into the car and starts driving down the drive way. He looks in the rear view mirror at your daughter and smiles.

They arrive at day care and Jeff gets out of the car and takes Sophie out of the car seat. He carries her into day care and checks her in at the front desk. He sits Sophie down with the other kids and kisses her on her forehead. She's already distracted by all the other kids and all the toys. He says, "have fun kiddo". He thanks the lady at the front desk and walks back to his car. Then he starts on his drive to downtown.
