Chapter 8

"Kylie! Joe has been expecting you, just got straight through honey"

I smiled nodding lightly as Freya rushed past my presence and headed towards the end of the corridor, i pressed the button on the lift, waiting for it to open as the dinging noise enhanced my brain

B:Hey Kylie wait up

He lowered down his pace as i held the door open, releasing the pressure from my hand as he stood beside me, watching the outside world disappear

K:Late again are we Simpson?
B:Nothing new for you either ò Neil
He smirked sarcastically as i rolled my eyes leaning against the walls

B:How was yesterday? Did joe uh...
K:No, no he was fine

B:Good cause me and my friends are going out tonight, just to this small event thing, I thought you'd maybe wanna come?

K:Yeah that sounds good but uh, two of my friends are in London at the moment for this job type thing and i was going to take them out tonight, is it alright if i bring them?
B:Oh, yeah sure sounds fun I'll pick you
all up at 8

I nodding biting my lip slightly as the lift doors opened on his floor, i watched carefully as he walked away, i found myself so caught up in my vision of his appearance that my whole mind went blank and i was forgetting everything i had to say

K:Hold on wait
I suddenly held my hand out supporting the lift door as he helped me laughing lightly
K:What are we gonna tell joe? It's going to seem a bit suspicious you turning up at his apartment for me
B:Just tell him were all going out as friends, thats all we're doing anyway, right

K:Yeah, friends

I smiled but sighed slowly as i let the doors close on him
B:Ill see you tonight

I threw my head back in annoyance as the word "friends" just seemed to frustrate me so much, i mean, I don't like him... but what did "just friends" really mean when it came to us?

I had spent so much time overthinking everything that i had past my floor, i rolled my eyes at my own actions pressing the buttons feeling the lift drop downwards...

I walked to where i was supposed to be, harshly pulling down the handle and rushing through the doors to see Joe crouched down holding a mic stand in his hands
J:Hey sis you took your time
K:Sorry... i uh, i got caught up in a conversation
J:Right

He laughed slightly shaking his head as i stepped through the doorway, closing the door lightly behind me and helping him set up the equipment

J:Oh yeah, thats what i was going to ask you! Uh, me and Laura are going to this bar thing tonight with ana and tris you up for coming?
K:Oh uh, actually i have plans for tonight
J:Plans with who?

K:Carly and Rose
J:Oh right well how are you getting down there cause i don't want you getting in some uber while your drunk or anything
K:No uh... brads taking us
I tried to say is as obliviously as i could so it didn't seem that much of a big deal

J:Brad? What have you two been like, hanging out?
K:As friends yeah, theres a big group of us going tonight so the girls can meet the boys and things
J:Oh

He seemed concerned but i don't think he thought too much of it as he got lost into another conversation with dean, i sighed lightly before feeling the buzz of my phone in my hands

From Carly:
Hey! We have just arrived in London, are you home? xx

I smiled widely looking down to the floor before quickly replying...

K:Talking of Carly and Rose they have just arrived, is it alright if i take the day off or something, just so i can spend a bit of time with them
He breathed out heavily, hesitating on his words

J:Kylie... I asked you if you had any
plans and you said no, how am i supposed to keep all the boys together and carry around all this equipment!
K:You really think i would of carried the equipment even if i did stay

He sighed before realising i had a point and passing me £40 from his pocket

J:Huh... alright whatever, I'll be home later get yourselfs some pizza or something
I smiled widely pulling him in for a hug as he wrapped his arms around my waist

K:Thank you
J:Thats okay... just, save me some will you?
I rolled my eyes nodding lightly before rushing through the doors

30 minuets later*

C:God you took your time!
K:Sorry i was in the studio

I laughed lightly running towards them as they sat on the steps before joes apartment
R:Ooooh studio

I shrugged my shoulders pulling them both in for hugs and quickly opening the front door
K:So... you got the job
I smiled at her excitedly as she tilted her head to the side
C:Yeah, thanks to this one and her love interests

She nudged rose as i rolled my eyes slightly
C:Wow this place, it's...
K:Amazing... yeah i know I'm still amazed by it every time i walk through that door

I laughed lightly letting them take it all in before locking the door behind us

R:Have you got anything to eat? I'm starving I haven't eaten all morning
K:You've only just walked through the door!

I shook my head smiling as they both perched on the seats in front of the kitchen counter
K:Joe give me some money to order pizza
I watched as Rose widened her eyes as they suddenly filled with excitement

K:Is that alright with you?
R:I haven't even met your brother and i like him already

I giggled picking up my phone and logging into the dominos website

C:So... spill the beans on brad
I flicked my eyes up to hers as she rose her eyebrows intriguingly
K:Oh, uh

I covered my face with my hands as they giggled lightly
K:I don't know, i mean he's so lovely and obviously he's soo
I fluttered my eyes as they looked at me in confusion battering their eyelids

R:Soo what? Can't you say the word fit!
I smirked lightly rubbing my shoulders
K:I don't know... it's complicated
C:It always is with you

I nodded in slight agreement as i plotted around the kitchen, stacking up the junk joe had brought from the cupboards

R:So, what's the plans for tonight?
K:Well, about that
I laughed lightly
K:I want you to meet some friends of mine
C:Boy, friends?
K:Uh yeah
C:Then that sounds good to me

I laughed shaking my head as she sipped on her bottle of water, I could already tell that the Rose and Carly would get on with all of the boys, and i knew that joe wouldn't like that

He knows that if my friends approve, then my feelings for brad will grow even stronger, not that he would know i had feelings for brad, of course...
