-Aaliyah-

I finished loading my bags into my car and stepped back in to look around my home once more. This was it. I was actually moving out of my very first home. The place I had lived in since I was 18. I lost my job, sadly, and I haven't been able to make ends meet every since. Tears welled in my eyes as I touched the walls, hating I had to leave this place I once called my own. A single tear slipped down my cheek and I quickly brushed it away. So much had taken place here. I lost virginity in this home, I got engaged in this home, and was close to getting pregnant in this home. That is until I found out my fiancé was living a double life. He had a home and a family elsewhere. Biggest devastation of my life.

I eased out of the home, taking one more glance inside. Another tear created its way past my cheek as I shut the door and headed towards my white Chrysler 200.

-A week later-

I've put in multiple applications during this whole week and not one phone call back. Sigh. I laid in my bed, fast asleep when my mama came in to wake me.

"Your old boss is on the phone, baby."

I took the phone, staring at her confused. "Hello? Mr. James?"

He smiled, "Yes, Ms. Aaliyah."

I smiled, wondering what made him call. "Could I help you with something?"

He nodded, "I know I laid you off and believe me, I deeply apologize. The daycare is moving up another level. We're going to start sending workers out to be nannies in famous celebrities' households. I decided those positions should go to all workers that I laid off. You'll be getting paid much more working for them than working for the daycare."

I sat up, throwing the sheets back, "Jesus! That sounds so exciting. I would love that position."

He laughs softly, "I figured you would. Be here at 12 on Wednesday."

We ended the call and I shouted for my mama, quickly telling her the news. I couldn't believe this! I'll be a nanny for a celebrity. I love children so much, I could take care of them for free. Maybe this extra money could help me get my home back.

-Michael-
I entered the house after a long day in the studio. Lisa sat at the table with our three children; Mariah (8), Jr (4), and Melanie (2). I embraced and kissed them all, sitting with them.

"What's for dinner?" I smiled and Lisa gestured her head, "See for yourself. Your plate is in the microwave." I smiled and stood up, walking over and opening the microwave. Lisa is not the best cook, but she tries. She hates my suggestions on hiring a cook. She's the woman of the house and wants to handle all womanly duties.

I pulled my plate out and furrowed my brows. "Is something wrong, Michael?"

"I..No, honey. I'm just trying to figure out what to eat first. Maybe these mashed potatoes."

"What mashed potatoes? That's rice."

Mariah laughed and I pulled the plate closer, examining this so called rice, "I'm..I'm sorry, Lisa." She sighed and I grabbed a spoon, blessing this awful yet thoughtful dinner.

-Aaliyah-

Wednesday couldn't have gotten here quick enough. I walked through the doors of Child Love and Care and smiled at the innocent faces around me.

I hugged a few children then walked up, knocking softly on Mr. James's office door. "Come in," I heard him say and I stepped in, smiling at him and my former co-workers.

"Nice of you to join us, Ms. Aaliyah. Please, have a seat."

I sat at the last available seat and smiled as he stood up, "How is everyone?" We smiled, nodded, and some said they were fine.

"As you all know, Child Love and Care is the highest paid and most well known daycare in all of town. Things have been arranged for a few workers to apply for the position of a nanny in a celebrity household. I figured you ladies deserved to keep your jobs and this is my way of making it up to you all. You'll be paid much more for working in their homes."

Renee raised her hand, smiling. "Yes, Renee?" "Do we get to choose our own celebrity?" He nods, "You do, but you must be interviewed by the celebrity first and they'll decide if they hire you."

Renee nodded and Mr. James handed us the list. I scanned the list and gasped as I ran across Michael Jackson. That man is amazing, hehe. I own so many of his albums.

Renee smiled, "You see anyone you'd be interested in?" I nodded, "Definetely Michael Jackson!"

Mr. James looked around at all of us examining the list. "I need everyone to sign their names under the celebrities they hope to be a nanny for."

I signed my name under Michael Jackson and a few others. Once the meeting was over, I left and decided to grab lunch at Moo Moo's Shack. As I sat there, I constantly thought about Michael Jackson. I bet he's even more amazing in person. I only pray that I have the opportunity to be in his presence.
