A black and blue figure realized what he had done. His tail lowered in shame. All his friends were dead... He trotted down the mountain and ignored everyone that asked where the other had went. He knew others would find out sooner or later. The only choice was to run away. He grabbed berries and ran away as fast as he could. The berries bounced in the closed basket as he sprinted through the woods. He slowed down and jogged as he reached the edge, with his basket in his mouth. He heard screaming from a large human house. He k ew that the house was abandoned but still in good shape thanks to nearby Pokémon.
He looked into the front yard to see an Espeon screaming as a Leafeon was messing with it's for head. "Calm down." She said gently as she held a circular ruby in her paw. He then noticed a cracked ruby on the ground next to her. The Leafeon did a trick that he couldn't see and the Espeon stopped screaming. He saw the Espeon's new crystal was in as a Sylveon hugged her. The Espeon licked the Sylveon's shoulder. The Leafeon nodded at the Espeon and grabbed a purple herb and walked away.
Not having anything to do, he followed her. What's the worst that could happen? he asked himself. As he followed her near a road her ear twitched and she dropped her herbs onto the grass. Sbe turned around and saw him following her. In alarm, the Leafeon grabbed her herbs and ran away. "W-Wait!" He called "Don't run!". He followed her with the basket in his jaws.
"Help!" She yelled as she ran. She then ran into a small town and hid behind a normal Umbreon. "Help Dusk!" She said as she shook in fear with the herbs clenched in her mouth. The normal Umbreon stepped forward as the young Leafeon shook. The female Umbreon growled but her fur stayed flat. "I-I just wanted to greet myself to you. I'm new here..." He lied quickly. "Oh in that case..." The soft voice of the Leafeon said from behind Dusk "... My name is Sage. And that's the grump Dusk."
She got up and smiled warmly at him. But he knew he couldn't get close to anyone ever again because of what happened with his friends...
