"No family is perfect. We argue, we fight. We even stop talking to each other at times, but in the end, family is family. And love will always be there."
That's what mom always said to us as kids. And we always believed her.
But sometimes that's simply not the case.
Five years ago, after our mother died, my brothers and I split apart. William, the oldest, went to the capital to be in the army. Victor, older than me by 2 years, did hunting jobs at various villages. As for me, Karina, I stayed home.
Because someone had to protect the family legacy.
It doesn't seem like much on the outside, but the amount of importance our legacy held was enormous. Hidden in an underground temple, at the end of a long series of tests, it sits in wait, waiting for someone to take it and use it.
What does it do, you may ask? That all depends on the user. In the past, people have used it to restore countries that were destroyed by war. But others have also started wars. Our father, before he disappeared, told us that we had to prevent people from getting to it, even our own family.
But I never thought that my own brothers would try to get it. Or how a simple fight 2 years ago could cause all out war in the country.
Many people have died, many have suffered, and many have joined both sides of the fight. Now it's just a matter of who wins.
