Ally Snape-
I was in my room as usual learning a song on the piano. I am learning how to play how to save a life by The Fray. This is one of my favourite song, I already know part of it so I started to learn more. Then my Dad calls me "Ally come downstairs you have mail" shouts Severus at the bottom of the stairs. I stop what I am doing straight away and rush downstairs. I hope it is from Hogwarts as I would really like to go there. My Dad from Hogwarts, he teaches potions which he is amazing but he really wants to teach defence against the dark arts because he told me. He hands me the letter and .......YAY....... it's from Hogwarts,I tear it open and read it quickly to myself.
The letter
(This is the letter first part is from my head but the list of things is from a letter I found on the internet but edited and added things to it e.g the skirts and trousers etc)
Dear Aaliyah Snape (Ally)
Hogwarts of witch craft and wizardry would like to inform you that you are invited to come and learn at the school. We are very excited to see what you are capable of doing at what house you will be placed in. Either in Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. We will explain the aspects of each house when you arrive. You will need the essentials on the the next piece of paper to be able to successfully learn at Hogwarts. School starts on the 1st of September and you will need to be at the train station. (if your parents do not work at the school)
The essential You will need are:
First year students will require
1) Three sets of plain black robes (black)
2)one plain pointed hat(black)
3)one pair of protective gloves( dragon hide or similar)
4)one winter coat ( black with silver fastenings)
5) trousers for boys but for girls if they wish
6)skirts for girls
When you revive your house you will receive the tie and jumper.
Course books
All students should have a copy of the following:
1)The standard book of spells grade 1 by Miranda Goshawk
2) Magical theory by Adalbert waffling
3) A history of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot
4) A beginners guide to transfiguration by Emeric Switch
5) Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger
6)one thousand Magical Herbs And Fungi by Phyllida Spore
7) Fantastic beasts and where to find them by Newt Scamander
8) The dark forces : A guide to self protection by Quentin Tribble
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1 Wand
1 Cauldron(pewter, standard size 2)
1 set of glass or Crystals Phials
1 telescope
1 set of brass scales
Students may also bring a Cat or an Owl Or any other small pet).
Severus Snape-
I'm so happy that Ally got her letter and I chuckled when I saw the shocked face when she realised that Dumbledore knew both of the names she gets called. The joy on her face makes me overwhelmed. My precious daughter is now (what seems like to me) stepping into the adult world. "Congratulations" I say to her. Ally brings me into one of her loving hugs. I've decided I will take her to diagonal ally tomorrow as she loves that place but the fact that she will be able to go in to more shops now. she will be overwhelmed. "Princess would you like to go to Diagon ally tomorrow to buy what you need for school" As I suspected she was hyper.
Ally Snape -
"Thank you,Thank You,THANK YOU" I screamed. Oh my gosh I can't believe this is happening, Diagon Ally is one of my all time favourite places and now I can explore all the other shops. This is the best day ever. I hug severus tightly and takes him yet again. While laughing he said " your welcome Ally, I had a feeling you would be so hyper" I laugh and reply with " yes that's the way I am, can I go back upstairs now dad as I have nearly finished the song i am learning" "Very well call me when your done and I will come and listen"
"Ok dad" I sat while running back upstairs
1-2 hours later
Severus Snape-
As I am cooking dinner I hear Ally caking my name with excitement in her voice. "Dad, dad I'm finished learning the song come quick"
With a chuckle I head upstairs to her room. I sit down on the bed and she plays me the song. My child is so talented, she played it beautifully and nearly brought a tear to my eye. "That was beautiful princess, it's time for tea then we have to have a early night for the busy day ahead ok" she replies with " ok dad" she closes the lid on the piano and we both head downstairs.
They both eat there dinner talking about Hogwarts yet again. Then Ally rushes upstairs, has a shower, puts on her pjs and says good night to her dad.
