To the shooting stars
that burnt after granting
everyone else's wish.

that your dog thinks you are.
Unless they think you're an asshole.
Then you need to check yourself.

One
It was august of 2008 when I met him.
Long hair, tiny legs, the cutest long nose, and his name was Eddy
Eddy was a weiner dog.
As long, proud, and hot as they make 'em, He was a hunter.
Protected my backyard from lizards, a couple rats, and a garden snake at one point
My point is, he was always looking for something new to kill.
It was November 2012 when he stared down his prey in the mirror, 5pm when I watched him run out the back door on to the street. There's no way the driver could've stopped.
Eddy became a memory in my arms; losing him at 12 years old was traumatizing but I know I wouldn't have seen 13 if I reacted fast enough to chase after him.
He didn't deserve to die, maybe I needed to learn a lesson. That death doesn't have brakes, or a clock, Just live every single day as if it's your last. Realize that some don't want to be saved and you can't force a life preserver over their head.
Death is one thing we are sure of. The greatest leveler.
Let me level with you, Death even kills the trees that grow money on them, dollar bills don't sprout out of tombstones.
6 feet under makes us all equal. So roll in the dirt. It's just an open house event; tease it, but never be afraid. Fate is just a wild goose chase, a hunt that never goes out of season.
Fate's fangs are the worst bear trap there is, because it knows where you're going before you do. Fate doesn't tap lightly on your doorstep, it barges in and it will find you even when you try to avoid it. Your life line is billions of different fates intertwined. Vines that reach all the way down to your roots, you can't uproot your fate
Destiny and death aren't the end of a world but the start of a new one
Your last exhale is the inhale of closure
Of what happens after
Answers are sometimes too much to handle
So take ignorance is bliss with a grain of salt.
Eat salty food, drink bad coffee, run in the rain,
Because bad times make good times better
Fall asleep crying, fall asleep smiling
