Shadedstar curled up in her nest, her old bones weary. She could hear StarClan calling to her, and all the kin she had lost over the many seasons of her life. The half-moon shone dimly into her den, lighting up her face. A soft smile appeared on her face, a knowing one. It was her time.

"I'm coming, my love..." She murmured as she fell into sleep, knowing Twigstem would take good care of her clan, that her clan would thrive under his care when she was gone. As her last breath left her, she opened her eyes to bright forests of StarClan.

Stormrunner, Breezestar, and many others were waiting for her. Joy lit up her face as she saw her mother and father, and her brother. Roseshimmer and Petalfall joined them.

She raced forward with a purr as all of her kin and clanmates greeted her. Stormrunner greeted her, amber eyes shining, "I'm so glad to finally be with you again," He was purring so hard he could hardly speak.

"As am I," The dappled tabby purred softly, "I can't wait to see my clan again."

"Then come," Breezestar beckoned, and all of the cats gathered raced forward.

They emerged on to the Sky Rock, and a light brown she-cat stood in the center. Redglow stepped forward to greet her, to give her the final life.

"With this life I give you perseverance to steer your clan through dark times," He murmured, then raised his voice, "We hail you by your new name, Eveningstar. Your old life is no more, and may you serve you clan until your last breath."

"Eveningstar, Eveningstar!" Shadedstar joined in with the cry, and the new leader faded into wakefulness.

Shadedstar smiled, SkyClan would be well cared for. It would thrive for many more seasons, and many more beyond that. She glanced over at Darkstar, who had a proud look in his eyes. He grinned at her, a mischievous look in his eyes.

"Hmmm...does StarClan have cold water anywhere to wake my sister up any time soon?" He flashed a mock evil look at his sister.

"Don't you dare!" Shadedstar lunged at him, bowling him over, eyes glowing with amusement.

"May I interrupt?" Honeystar stepped forward to greet Shadedstar.

Shadedstar sat up, shaking out her ruffled pelt, "Honeystar? How are you here?"

"I have a message for you," The former DuskClan leader laughed, "You get to give Twigstem a life, so you should be prepared."

"Alright, I will," Shadedstar stood up, dipping her head in respect, "DuskClan will be well taken care of."

"Agreed. Your kits know that you are at peace, even through their grief." Honeystar murmured, "And I know both your clans will thrive until the end of time."
