Thank you so, so much to @MHW1998, ReneSolomon and @cherryshop for your votes on Part Forty Eight 😍💙💜🤗

I'd had a shithouse sleep.
I'd spent what felt like most of the night trying to find a comfortable position to lay in.
Normally I sleep like the dead when I'm sleeping alongside Zander.
But as the hours drew on, it had felt like somebody had lit a fire in my lower back and a gentle, but consistent flame was brewing there.
I squeezed my eyes shut, hoping to get back to sleep.
One sheep, two sheep, three sheep-
A tinkling, insistent noise began a relentless tune in the darkness of the bedroom.
Argh!
I felt Zander roll over to turn the alarm off.
I grabbed the blanket and tugged the top of it up, over my head.
I need sleep.
Finally the irritating noise ended.
Ahhh...
"C'mon Babe."
Zander urged.
I bit my tongue in an effort to refrain from snapping at him to go to hell.
It wasn't his fault I hadn't slept very well during the last few hours.
"I need sleep..."
I grumbled.
The blanket was peeled off my head.
Zander's lips lightly touched my forehead.
"C'mon."
He whispered.
I sighed.
I could easily just tell him to go on without Me.
It wouldn't be the end of the world for him to go practice his surfing without Me tagging along to watch.
But last night he'd asked Me to go and I'd said yes.
Tomorrow he was going interstate for an entire three days, but four nights.
It took great effort for Me to peel my eyes open.
He drags his butt out of bed at half past three in the morning to drive Me to work.
The least I could do was get up at five and watch him surf.
All the way out at Lizards...
I wanted to ask what the hell was wrong with our local beach, but bit my tongue.
Lizard's has better and more challenging waves.
Zander needs to practice there.
He smiled at Me, propped up on his left elbow and watching Me with soft eyes.
"Morning."
I whispered.
"Good morning!"
He chirped and leaned in to kiss my forehead.
Zander Hunter has way too much energy at such an ungodly hour!
"I'll make coffee!"
Zander declared and pushed himself off the mattress.
He crawled to the edge of the bed and climbed off the side, immediately finding a pair of boardies to slide in over his boxer shorts.

The back and stomach cramps made sense after I'd taken a trip to the bathroom.
Bloody monthlies!
Guess I definitely wouldn't be joining the guys in the water this morning.
At least we were going to a beach where Zander (and no doubt Keegan) wasn't going to let Me surf anyway.
I wouldn't have to try and find an excuse as to why I couldn't join in.
On the plus side, at least we hadn't stuffed up and I wasn't pregnant.
"Here ya go."
My heart nearly hit a gallop.
I twisted around from binning my rubbish to find Zander had returned to the room and was holding two coffee mugs.
"You scared Me!"
I squeaked, placing my hands over my heart.
"Sorry!"
His amusement was clear in his voice as well as the huge grin he wore.
I narrowed my eyes at him.
"No you're not!"
He shrugged.
"No, guess not."
I shook my head, fighting a smile.
Once a dork, always a dork.
I closed the distance between us and accepted the purple mug with white hearts on it that he was offering Me.
"Thank you."
I told him, wrapping my hands around the warm mug and stretching up onto my tip toes to kiss him.

Pink rays were beginning to light up the sky when Zander drove the Hilux into the parking area.
I'd never been to this place before.
At least not as far as I could remember.
"Welcome to Lizards, Bails!"
Keegan crowed from the back seat.
I grunted something along the lines of a reply, still struggling to hold my eyelids open.
"Yeiw!"
Ashton and Boston crowed from the back seat they shared with my Brother.
Zander steered the car into a park in the sloping car park that overlooked the beach.
Headlights flashed in the side mirrors as other cars also pulled into the parking area.
The back doors flew open, letting in a burst of fresh see air.
Keegan, Ashton and Boston practically fell out of the back seat.
"Look at those sets!"
Ashton exclaimed.
"Frothin' bro!"
Boston replied before slamming the driver's side back door.
"Get those bloody boards out the back!"
Keegan chastised the rambunctious pair before shutting the passenger side back door with a thud.
"C'mon."
Zander urged, his keys jingling as he transferred them to his left hand, then lifted the centre console's lid to drop the keys in there.
"I'm not surfing."
I reminded him.
Surely he didn't have a brain lapse and pack my board?
He was the one who said I can't surf here yet!
Zander pauses with his hand on the handle, ready to open the door.
"I know. But you're coming down into the beach, right?"
Oh.
I guess there was only so much I could watch from the car...
I slipped a smile into place.
"Yeah."
I agreed, unbuckling my seat belt.
