Harry's P.O.V
It's the first time I'm having a day off for about two weeks now. And it feels fucking good. After I've putten on some shit clothes on, I decide to have my breakfast on a cafe up in the street. The weather isn't too good, neither bad. It's just a gray day, typical when I'm having a day off.
I sit down at an empty table in the corner of the cafe. "Are you kidding me?" a known female voice say behind my back. I turn around and smirk at the sight of her. Fuck, she's looking good in a uniform.
"You? Again?" her face get's red and cute. "Guess it's faith," I laugh at her. "Didn't know you were working here either?" I question her. "Well now you know," she states.
She hands me a green menu with the title 'Serenade Cafe'. I read it out loud and when I look up she's already staring at me. Too bad she turns around when my eyes meets hers. "Thanks," I say while opening the menu. She stands awkwardly beside me and I can't help but thinking about how that uniform makes her curves looking like. It's amazingly beautiful. She's stunningly beautiful. She's beautiful.
"I'll come around whe-" a tall guy with dark blonde hair and green eyes calls her name and she becomes silent. "Yeah, I'm coming," she smiles widely at him. A hint of jealousy hit me harder than a train would.
"What about me?" I ask her right before she's about to leave. Her face expression is sexy, the way she frowns her brows. "Uhm, I'm just taking his orders?" she laughs loudly. It sounds confident, I like it. I nod. "Of course," I say, trying to shake it off. In this moment I'm quite embarassed.
Every now and then I try to get eyecontact with her, but it's a big failure. It looks like she only has eyes for him and it knocks me off. Why would she do that? Does she know him?
They laugh with each other and he's starting to piss me off. Hell, right now I want to push the red head up against the wall and make Yasmine jealous too, but I don't know if she even would be jealous. What the hell am I thinking about, I'm a cop. Supposed to be on the right side of the law, right?
Finally Yasmine comes walking toward me with her little notebook and pen in her arms. "Maybe you should work instead of checking out your costumers," I say, regretting it once it's said. "Oh, you think?" she snaps back. Auch, not what I expected. "I couldn't be doing this then," she says, biting her lip while having intense eyecontact with me. Shivers is spreading around my body. Fuck, she's good. Despite she's normally nervous.
"Now, what do you want?" she asks me, without staring at me. A piece of you, sexy. Her eyes is locked at her notebook. I wish her eyes was locked with mine.
"The shrimp salad with dark coffee," I say. "Something more?" her voice is so soft. Yes, actually, there is. "I want you to go out with me sometime," I say while being a hundred percent serious. Her reaction isn't a laugh nor a scream. It's a shocked, red face.
"You aren't really serious are you?" she's nervous now. I'm in control now. I nod my head. "Yes I am."
She places her hands down at the table in front of me. Her breasts are quite distracting, but I manage to keep my eyes at her eyes. "No." Then she leaves like we never even talked about it. Did she just turn me down?
After about fifteen minutes she's back again, but she's not having that happy smile on her face anymore. "Here you go," she places my food in front of me. She doesn't even look at me once. Shit, I really pissed her off.
As she's about to go I grab her arm. "Why?" I ask her. From the expression on her face I have to clearify myself one more time. "Why don't you want to go out with me?" I probably sound like an idiot.
"Because we don't know each other and I just don't go out on dates with random people," she answers. Ha, that's such a lame answer. "Are you serious?" I ask her, laughing. "Yes."
"Let's get to know each other then," I smirk at her. She doesn't say anything, she just keeps standing there like a question mark. "On one condition," she says. Excitement rush through my veins. "What?"
"You have to convince me first, then maybe," she says with an evil smile and leaves my table. Damn it.
The delicious food melts on my tounge and leaves my stomach full. The coffee weren't that good, but I've had a fun breakfast. Every now and then I look at her. I looked at her when she spilled water over the red head girl, I looked at her when she served an old couple and I looked at her when she was laughing with that blonde douche at the other table.
I do wonder if they know each other, it looks like. And I find myself wondering for how long in that case.
I walk up to the cash register to pay my meal. "Let's see, the Serenade Sandwich?" the red head asks. I shake my head. "That's kind of wrong. Shrimp salad."
"Oh, sorry." She taps at the casher all nervous and all. Why are all girls nervous? Desitny was never nervous around me. "That's 16 pounds to pay," she says smiling. I hand her the money. "And before I leave, I liked it here," I smile at her. She thanks me with a huge smile and a simple 'thank you.'
Yasmine's P.O.V
"My shift is over now, so I'm leaving!" I call into the kitchen so Alana can hear me. "See you on Wednesday," she yells back.
I take off my uniform and change back to my simple outfit, a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt. I keep my hair in the ponytail and take my toms on.
When I come home I turn the lights on. I have absolutely no idea on what I'm going to do for the rest of the day. Maybe I should call Lisa? I decide to do that.
After of calling her three times I give up. She's probably at work or she's studying. Suddenly out of the blue there's someone knocking at my door.
I walk fastly to the door and open it with a smile. "Ella?" I say shocked. What is she doing here? Did she know I live here? "Yasmine?" she looks just as shocked as me.
"I heard there were new neighbours here so I decided to give you this cake," she laughs sweetily. "I didn't knew it was you though, but what a lovely surprise. Tampon lady right?" she cracks up with the best laugh I've ever heard.
"Yeah, that's me," I claim. "You want to come in?" She looks at her Daniel Wellington watch in black. "Sure, but I can't be too long!"
She takes another sip of her tea and laughs. "I remember that yes," she says. We've talked for about an hour about me and her. She's twenty two and she's a photographer. "So, do you got a boyfriend?" her eyes goes excited. I shake my head. How many questions a day should I get about that? "No, I'm on my own," I chuckle.
"What? Are you serious?" her mouth goes wide open, so does her eyes. I nod. "Yeah, why should I lie about that?"
"I don't know, it's just, you're so pretty! And you have a nice personality," she frowns her brows like it's so weird. "I was in a relationship about two years ago, but he cheated on me and from that day on I've only dated a few people and so."
"That's sad to hear dear, but I guarantee you will find the one soon, you never know when love catches you, you know."
"Do you believe in love at first sight?" she asks. "No, absolutely not. That's just in movies and books," I state. I don't know why I don't believe in it, it just sounds so.. too good to be true?
