Summertime Madness

The sun shone brightly, causing my eyes to water.

I stare back at my house, hoping to go back in.

But alas, it is not to be, and to the beach we must go.

We arrive at the sandy shore, the sand prickling my toes. How hot it is! The beads of sweat trickling down my face.

But. The clear blue ocean beckons to me and I make a bee line for it.

Instantly I am cooled down, enjoying the feel of water on my skin.

Now suddenly everything seems brighter.

Perhaps I'll be back tomorrow.
