Sorry for Mistakes! Enjoy!
------------------I was a perfectly normal girl, I had a normal mother and father an only child, a teenager with many problems of my own.
I am 16 and love the outdoors that's why my parents moved us from the city to a two story cabin by the woods. All you had to do was walk a yard and boom the woods was right there. At night you could hear howls from wolves and the owls making their hoo of the night. I loved hearing the crickets chirping loudly but peacefully outside of my opened window. The sound of the wind brushing through the trees while the night settled in for a little while.
I loved exploring the woods during the day, I could never go at night because my parents were afraid of what lurked in the woods. "Now don't you go in the woods at night Maria Kylee Lennox," my mom would warn, "If I catch you in the woods at night you're sleeping outside," my father would warn, I wouldn't mind sleeping outside for one night. It was so peaceful to my ears, but the my parents they couldn't stand the noises.
But I wanted to go on a hike and on my 17th birthday I can. My birthday is tomorrow and I can't wait, I'm already packed for the trip towards Wannabe Mountain, it's a long and hard trip when you're alone but I'm up for the task. Myself, my mom and Dad have been up the mountain many times before until my mom slipped on some ice up there and broke her ankle, that was enough hiking for us while Mom was around. Me and Dad still go hiking up there, every great once in awhile.
The thing about Wannabe mountain is there was still snow up on the peak, all year around even on the hottest days in June.
Rumors have it the good Dire wolves known as the Autobots, no one knows why they call them that, live near the mountain and greet each hiker that climbs, but in all the times we've been hiking up the mountain we haven't seen one. Not even tracks, which is sad because I've always wanted to meet or see one, I've always wanted to meet or see one, ever since people in town told me about them, I was only nine at the time so, my nine year old fantasy's came to life that day Miss Maudie down at the General Store filled my head with rumors, myths and legends about them.
From what I've been told they were half as big as an SUV and as wide as two adult men, maybe three adult men in some cases, their names were kept in an old book in a cabin built and abandoned by an old man in 1989 in the woods. No one has ever found it, not even people who's spent their whole life searching in the large woods, not even helicopters could spot it from above.
Some people say the wolves and cabin is a myth and people needed to stop filling their heads with such nonsense. Their was only two people in town who said stuff like that and their names are Mrs. Stephanie Crawford and her husband, Mr. Michael Crawford. They cussed Miss Maudie out when they found out she was filling my head with "lies". Miss Maudie only laughed at their cussing and told them to go annoy someone else other than her.
I was in love with my life, family and friends.
Nothing could change that.
