Blood. Blood everywhere. He knew it, I knew it. He stood with one fist clenched and the other holding a bloody knife. Tears, rolling down my face as I looked upwards and into his eyes. He dropped to his hands and knees whispering, "I am sorry. So sorry."

I stared. I stared at the deceased body lying in my living room. I said my next words with force. I couldn't help myself. "Get. Out."

I looked down at my carpet stained bright red. I bolted to the closest room with a door I could lock. The bathroom. As I looked up and into the mirror, I didn't recognise myself anymore. What had I gotten myself into? Jason Reed was dead in my living room. The more I went over it in my head, the more real it got. Jason was my loving boyfriend of four years. We had graduated high school together and moved in together soon after. He was pursuing a successful career in mechanical engineering and I was studying Art at the Royal Blaire Amongstas Art School. We both had our lives set out right in front of us.

Levi Quinten graduated high school in the same year Jason and I did. He was that one in our class that was hardly seen. He didn't come to any dances, gatherings or parties. He just stayed in the shadows. My first encounter with him wasn't pleasant. I caught him stealing valuables from peoples' lockers aggressively by breaking their locks with some tools. I quietly tried to walk past and get to safety when he turned to me and caught my eye. He stared and violently held me against the wall, whispering under his breath, "Tell anyone and it will cost you, Ally." He let go. I ran to safety and never told a single soul.

Now, I lay on my bathroom floor thinking what the heck was I going to do with Jason's body. I can't leave it there, I can't make it look like it was my doing. I certainly cannot tell anyone. Levi left eight missed calls on my phone. I couldn't express the feelings I was experiencing right now. He rung three more times before he gave up. I heard my door slam. Levi was back. I quickly locked the bathroom door and carefully tucked myself in a corner. I heard footsteps. I heard voices. I felt sick to the stomach and would have given anything to not be in this situation. I quietly sobbed before I heard the door handle unlock and watched it turn slowly. The world went black.
