"No we're not."
"Why not?" His eyes show worry when they meet with mine.
"You didn't ask me." I cross my arms. "For a proper date you must be asked or else it's just 2 people hanging out."
Mason smiles and shakes his head.
"Okay, Demi would you like to go out on a date with me?"
"Hm I don't know.. I mean it's so last minute, and I have of much stuff to do when I get home...but I guess I could make it work." I smirk to show him I'm joking around with him.
"Good because I think you might like it." He takes my hand and starts leading me down to the diner at the end of the walkway. It's looks a little old but has that air around it like it's something special. We walk in and sit in a booth that's against the window so it's almost like we're on the beach. Mason waves to the waitress and she takes our orders.
"Thanks Mrs. B."
"Oh no problem Mason- it's good to see you get out." She smile and walks away.
"You know her?"
"Yeah she's my best buds mom, so she knew me when I couldn't walk. She started this place, I used to come here a lot more but haven't recently."
"It's nice, I like it." He smiles.
"Just wait till 7:23."
"Why?"
"You'll see." He smirks and we keep talking even when we get our food. Mason pays and talks to the waitress for a second before getting my attention.
"Ready?" He stands up and takes my hand, leading me out of the diner.
"For what?" He walks a little bit more before coming behind me and covering my eyes. I laugh. "What are you doing?"
"It's almost time just keep walking. I promise not to let you fall or walk in to anything." He slightly pushes me so I keep walking. We walk through the sand and soon I can hear the waves crashing, closer then they were before.
I take his hands in mine and lift them off my face. I look to see that we're right at the waters edge and there's the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen in front of me.
"Okay so...what do you think?" I can hear the nervousness in his voice.
"It's beautiful." He pulls one hand away from mine and takes something out of his pocket.
"Here," He hands me Marcus, and I can't help it, a smile comes to my face. "I thought you might want it."
"I take a few pictures of the beach then turn around and take some of Mason. I put my camera in my sweater pocket (well really it's Mason's sweater but I don't think he'll mind if I keep it.), and rap my arms around his neck. His arms instantly go around my waist. I smile and rest my forehead on his.
"Bet you didn't know this is my first date ever."
He smiles and kisses my cheek before whispering in my ear.
"Bet you didn't know this is my first actual date, too."
"Really?" I'm honestly shocked. He seemed like the guy who's gone on million of dates already.
He chuckles and nods.
"Why else do you think I was so nervous bringing you here." His eyes connect with mine and I smile.
"Well what do you say? Good first date?"
"The best...especially if it means I get another one." My smile widens and I nod. He captures my mouth with his and I pull him closer not wanting this perfect moment to end. After a minute we both pull back with matching smiles. He takes my hand, intertwining our fingers and leads me back to his motorcycle. We drive home under the sparkling stars.
