The last thing BlackStar remembered was the air stinging his face. The last thing he heard was Tsubaki's voice, as pain became his body, she shouted, "BLACKSTAR!" The shout sounded like bells in his ears, reminding him of when they had first met. Tsubaki's clap had sounded the same. Except he felt something bad was going to happen. The world then turned into darkness.

"Oh BlackStar, you're such an arrogant idiot going after him like that." Tsubaki whispered from beside the bed in the DWMA nurse's office. Her index finger slowly traced the star tattoo on his shoulder. BlackStar's mouth twitched upward and murmured, "Tsubaki..." His blue green eyes opened slowly and glanced around the room, confused. "Did we get him...?"
Tsubaki gave a shaky laugh, "You've been asleep for five days and that's the first thing you say? Not 'hello?'" She nodded anyways. "We did. Our 70th soul collected."
"I've been asleep for five days?! We could've getting more souls! Dammit!Wait. Why have I been asleep that long...?"
Her violet eyes flicked away from his eyes. "You fell. It was longer than we suspected and some of your ribs broke. Stein says you're lucky, a normal person should've died."
BlackStar was quiet for a moment. "Is that so? Well then, are you alright?" Tsubaki shrugged and raised her left arm, it was in a cast. "Is that's all? Good." He nodded, his eyes half closed now, sleep tugging his mind. He felt coldness crept up his legs and arms, like when you jump into a pool during summertime. 'Thats sound nice about now.'
"Well, I'll let you-
BlackStar stopped Tsubaki by grabbing her hand. "You don't want to stay with you wounded and wonderful godly partner?"
Tsubaki violet eyes softened. "I have to go do some laundry at home. I'll be back before you know it, alright?"
BlackStar's hand tightened slightly around hers before he let go. "Go then, before I know it."
'My chest feels like it's burning...' BlackStar thought, letting loose a cough he had been holding.
