"Kyle?" Olive whispered so quietly he barely heard.

He looked over at his twin sister  "yes princess?"

" I love you "

Kyle smiled and felt his heart warm at the kind words he hears everyday.
scooting over on the couch he gestures for olive to sit next to him.

Hurrying , she jumps up from the floor and and lands by his side . Going under the blanket he had wrapped around him the were warm and comfy while watching her favorite movie , tangled .

Kyle leaned over and kissed her head ever so lightly. " And I love you , always."

Olive sighed in content . Snuggling closer to her brother she was asleep faster than ever.

Kyle stayed awake , watching the only girl in his life sleep . With a soft smile on his face he leans in for one more kiss on her forehead.

once he did that he could see her sigh once more and a smile appeared on the beautiful little girl.

Thinking to himself , he knew he would never let anything or anyone harm his sister.

He scooped her up in his tiny arms an headed to her room where he gently put his twin down and went back to the living room. He would stay awake until there parents came back home .

It was almost midnight . Kyle was beginning to feel nervous. It's never taken this long to go get olive a toy she wanted before.

Finally, a knock sounded at the door. Hearing It Kyle jumped to his feet and ran to the door . He opened it and expected to see his parents an a bunch or toys for them .

Instead he sees two police officers . " Uh yes?" He stammered , knowing something horrible had happened.

The police officer kneeled down , " hi son , are you Kyle?"

Ever so lightly , he nodded his head as yes.

Sighing the office asked to come in . Kyle opened the door wider and let them through . Leading them to the couch he prayed olive was still asleep.

" I'm truly sorry young boy, your parents were at Target when a shooting happened. Your parents saved a total of 7 people while risking there lives for the safety of everyone. They managed to call the police and stall the robbers while we were on the way. They will have a funeral paid for completely by the police department and your aunt has been contacted. You will be moving in with her and once again. I'm so sorry for your loss."

The other office, although was quiet sent the boy a look of sympathy. As he walked by he patted Kyle on the head and left . Both of the officers heads , hung low.

Kyle couldn't hold his tears in any longer. He cried , he didn't hold back. He let out a heartbreaking sob he knew the neighbors could hear. He clawed at his throat feeling it tighten with the familiar burn he gets when he cries out.

Sob after sob he couldn't stop. He knelt down and took breath after breath . I have to stay strong for olive. I have too.

Wait... No. This is all her fault! She wanted that stupid toy and so mom and dad went to go get it for her . They died because she is a spoiled little brat.

Kyle decided instead of mourning the loss of his parents he would transfer all the pain to anger and sadly poor olive was the one he would take it out on.

The next morning, the relationship between the two were never the same. Olive found out about her parents the second her aunt came. She cried . She broke things. She was hurting and all she wanted was her twin brother.

Wanting to be hugged she went to his room and laid in his bed. She wrapped her arms around him. Closing her eyes she let out a few tears silently.

The next thing olive knew , a sharp pain was felt on her back. She woke in pain , bt knowing what happened.

"Kyle?" She sniffled?

" Get out of my room. It is all your fault. I hate you olive. I fucking hate you. "

She gasped and stood up on shaky legs. Letting a sob out she covered her mouth and stared at him.

Kyle scoffed and stood up. He towered over her already , as he grabbed her roughly and threw her into the hallway.

He turned on his heels and slammed the door behind him.

Olive , got up and slowly made her way to her room. She continued to pack and cry at the same time knowing damn well not only did she loose her parents. She also lost her brother.
