Voltage owns all rights to characters of Be My Princess 2. As I have said before, I love writing things that are fictional, but I'm no writer, just an artist 😊 So please excuse me if my writing sucks. I appreciate all feedback!!

This fan fic was made out of a suggestion from someone that read one of my other fanfics, I hope you like! I have a tendency to make my MC's the heroines and I really wanted to do the same with Hayden's MC. I will name her Alora. Enjoy!

****************************************************************

The story takes place after Hayden has confessed his love to Alora and they are both greeting Philip's King and Queen in hopes of attaining their approval for marriage. It begins in the throne room...

Alora's POV

"She is the one I have chosen as my bride..." Hayden continues to try and ascertain his wishes to the King. I'm not sure of what to do at this point; my love for him is great and I won't back down, but I also don't want to cause a drift in his family.

"Hayden, you have to understand that she is not of noble birth; this goes against all we stand for." The King delivers his line to Hayden, but contrary to his words, he looks torn and forlorn. Hayden's fists tighten as he desperately tries to control his emotions. Never being one to openly state how he feels or what he wants, he really struggles for a moment, but just as he is about to say something to his father the door bursts open with a loud bang.

Five men with guns in hand invade the throne room suddenly and aim straight at us. The King yells "GUARDS!" but no one comes to answer. Hayden grabs my hand quickly and pulls me behind him, effectively guarding me and his parents. "HOW DARE YOU BARGE IN HERE! WHO ARE YOU?" Hayden yells out at the men as an older man steps forward with a wry smile on his face. "Why if it isn't the little brat, Prince Hayden, we have a few choice words for your dear old daddy here. Why don't you be a dear and SHUT UP!"

Hayden tightens his hold on my hand as his father moves ahead to speak to the older man. "Speak, but leave my family be." The man with the gun laughs and cocks his gun. "First, tell your brat and that woman to step to the side." The King looks at us and nods; Hayden and I slowly step away from them and remain side by side close to a tall window that leads out to a balcony. "Good, now listen here you old bastard, your policies are killing Philip and your people are growing tired. Consider this to be your first experience of a revolt!" As the man said this, I had a sickening feeling form at the pit of my stomach. I always listen to my intuition and all sorts of bells start going off in my head. I look at Hayden as his focus is solely set on the men with guns when I notice the man that had been speaking quickly shift and point his gun at Hayden... oh Gods, no... I release Hayden's hand immediately and turn to face him, shielding him. Almost immediately the sound of a shot reverberates around the room and time slows down.

"ALORA! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I see Hayden's panicked face in front of me as he throws his arms to catch me. A burning pain can be felt from the lower right part of my back to the front of my stomach. "Nghh... your Highness... are you okay?" I muster up as much strength as I can to say those words. Hayden's eyes fill with tears as he lowers me to the ground trying to place pressure on my wound. "Shhh... Alora, don't talk, please, don't, don't leave me... Oh Gods, please don't take her, someone HELP ME, PLEASE, SHE CAN'T LEAVE ME." I try to remain conscious, but the pain and blood loss were beginning to take a toll. "My, my... poor little flower... you..." as soon as the older man had started to speak guards come running in and a fight ensued.

Hayden immediately lifts me up from the ground and tries to go out the balcony; unbeknownst to us, the leader of the revolt had followed Hayden. I look up at Hayden's distraught face and see his eyes roll backward as he is hit hard on the back of the neck by the man.

I scream as we both immediately tumble forward, and I roll out Hayden's arms on to the floor of the balcony. The pain is unbearable as I try to drag myself to Hayden. "Nope, you're coming with me little flower. You are my insurance." I am picked up quickly and thrown over the shoulder of the older man as he jumps off the balcony with me in tow. My consciousness fades in and out as the man sprints with me across the gardens of the palace and we near a river. "STOP RIGHT THERE! HAND HER OVER!!!!" Guards are closing in on us. I reach out my arm as much as I can, but the man is too fast, and my strength is leaving me.

We make it to the outskirts of the castle and come close to a river; white water rapids rampage through the beautiful landscape. I feel the man's shoulders tense up as he nears the water. "Well little flower, it's been a pleasure, but let's see how much luck is on our side. I'm not afraid to die, are you?" I can't even respond, I have no strength to speak. But, at this moment, I'm happy to have met the love of my life and to have had a chance to do what I love, my baking. I only wish I had more time with Hayden. Tears begin to form as the man shifts me to carry me bridal style. "I apologize flower, but this is where we say our farewells, hope you can survive it all!" I hear guards running towards us as the man jumps with me in his arms. The last thing I remember feeling is the rush of cold water sorround me and then blackness...

PRINCE HAYDEN'S POV

"Your highness, wake up! Your highness, please wake up." I can hear someone calling for me and an immense amount of pain at the base of my neck. "Son, please, wake up!" As soon as I hear my father's voice my eyes open wide immediately and I sit up as quickly as I can. "Where is she? Where's Alora? Father, please..." He looks at me with a sorrowful expression and shakes his head. "Son, the guards continue to look for her, but there's been no sign of her as of yet." No, no, no, please be alive, Alora, please... where are you? what's going on? I feel my body tremble as rage fills me and I fight to stand from my bed but I am held back by the guards. "SON! Stop! You can't find her in this condition. We are doing everything we can and we will find her, but she wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you. She risked her life to save yours, don't throw it all away." I relax my muscles and lay down in bed once again. "Father, we have to find her, please, I can't be without her." My father lowers his head and places a comforting hand on my shoulder as he sits next to my bed. My mother stands behind him as she dries her tears.

"Son, I was wrong about her... I was wrong about many things..." I place a hand on my father's. "Right now, what matters is that you are all safe and that we use every possible asset to find her." He nods in agreement. "Everyone in the kingdom is looking for your fiancé son, and you will too as soon as we can be sure that you're not suffering a serious injury." I grip my father's hand and nod in agreement. "Have them examine me as fast as possible, I need to find her..."
