Nothing, I see the world through black and white. I see no colour. Am I cursed..?
"Izuku?" a soft spoken voice wonders for me until I answer it.
"Oh, sorry Uraraka, I was just zoning off again."
"Again, you know you got a problem with that." she says while stuffing her face with rice.
I exhale my feelings then I soon follow taking one last bite of my tonkatsu as the bell rings for lunch to be over.
The two of us walk together for our next class. Our home room teacher, Mr. Aizawa is already in the class, laying on the floor as usual, waiting for us all to be seated. I take my seat, the first row, second to the last seat. I stare out of the window, zoning off again, but then a cold breeze changed everything. I am feel my heart beat out of my chest. It's him. I can feel my cheeks get hot as I start to fluster. He sits down behind me not noticing my embarrassment.
"Hey, Midoriya?" he says in his quiet lisp.
My heart beats faster,
"M-mineta? What's up?" I can't help but stutter.
"Did you do your homework? I forgot we had sthome until right now."
"O-oh, yeah uh you can copy mine if you want."
"Really?! You're a life sthaver, Midoriya!" His excitement warms my heart.
I handed my paper over to him. Then a sudden sharp pinch hits the front of my legs. I turn to see Kacchan staring at me, his eyebrows narrowed as usual.
"Im surprised he hasn't caught onto you, Deku. You fluster every time he fucking breathes." Kacchan whispered as he sat there not taking his eyes off me. I grew more embarrassed knowing that the whole class probably knows.. that's just great. Kacchan turned back around.
RING
The class grew silent from the bell.
"Alright class," Mr. Aizawa stood up and unzipped his sleeping bag he was sleeping in, "today we'll just be training, like we always do because it's a hero school, what did you except. Now put on your gym uniforms and lets go."
I walked onto the field behind Kacchan and Kirishima, their broad figures are like protection for my slender body. All Might was already there waiting for our class, Aizawa stood next to him with his hands on his hips and his black long hair catching the rays of the sun.
"We are going to be paring you up with partners to train to see how compatible you're quirks are together." Aizawa said in his depressed tone.
"You're never alone in a battle, you have your friends with you and you're never sure when you're going to have to take a villain out together!" All Might said in his larger than life voice.
We waited a couple of minutes until the teams were posted on the boards then the whole class walked over to see who their partnered with. I searched for my name, my heart and mouth dropped.
"Midoriya!" that sweet lisp spoke. "Lookths like we are pared together!"
I turned to see the 3'6" boy beneath me. His cold dark eyes sparkled in the light, the sun shimmered in his ball like hair. My black and white world started seeing colour, but only one colour. Purple. The arm next to me suddenly nudged me as if it was telling me to stop. I looked to see who it was. Oh of course, it's Kacchan. He looked at me form the corner of his eye and shook his head, but why? What was I doing wrong? Mineta walked off, I take a step following after him but Kacchan quickly grabs my left arm.
"Why the FUCK do you like mineta he's like 2 inches tall and he's just gross." he folded his arms.
"I-I can't help who I have feelings for.." I twiddled my thumbs whole looking down.
"So your type is creepy children." his eyebrows narrowed more. "Why don't you like someone who genuinely has a heart and doesn't want to fuck every object he sees." He looked at someone but it was really quick that I couldn't make it out who he was talking about.
"Alright ladies lets not get into a fight here." Kirishima said while blushing and grabbing Kacchans arm, trying to pull him away so they can go off and find their partners. Kacchan finally budged and walked away with Kirishima.
I finally caught up to Mineta, we stood there and waited for a good 2 minutes until everyone got together with their partners.
"There is going to be two teams, one is the villains and one are the heroes. You'll be teamed up and you'll have to use your quirks together to defeat the other team. All Might is posting the opposing teams on the board now so go walk over there or something." Aizawa swished his hand signaling for us to leave.
The class walked back over to the boards and we all scanned to see who we were up against.
"Midoriya, sthay your prathers, look who we are up againstht."
I look to find out names, of course we are up against Kacchan and Todoroki. I looked to see where they were at and they were already standing there glaring at us, i'm guessing they already know we are up against each other.
"Get into your groups!" All might put his hands on his hips waiting for us to line up in our groups. "Now go off and be heroes!"
Mineta and I ran to get a head start, god knows we are going to need it. They were already catching up to us, Mineta screamed and threw his sticky balls at Kacchan and Todoroki. Mineta dropped one of his sticky balls and I accidentally stepped on it, and now I cant run.
"MIDORIYA IM SOWWY!" he popped off another few of his sticky balls but Kacchans blast scared Mineta and he ended up dropping them on me.
"MINETA!" I screamed trying to pull them off, Mineta tried to pull them off too but his hand ended up getting stuck on me.
"Pathetic." Kacchan said staring at us with Todoroki by his side. Todoroki looked angry, probably because he messed up and couldn't get unstuck.
"I'm leaving." Todoroki walked off.
"Can you two just get unstuck so we can finish this, i'm going to talk to Todoroki, pathetic." Kacchan then walked off after him
Getting stuck with Mineta, it almost seems unreal, my heart started beating faster, all i could see was his purple aura. I grew flustered and embarrassed. Mineta too seemed to get flustered.
"M-Midoriya-kun." Mineta said flustering. "Can I tell you sthomething.."
"O-of course, Mineta, what's up?"
"Don't stheem weirded out of anything but, M-Midoriya, I have a crusth on you.." he said to me.
My heart seemed to beat out of my chest, my face grew hotter.
"M-Mineta, I-I don't know what to say." Mineta leaned in placing his lips onto mine, my once black and white world now brought colour to my eyes. My entire face grew red. I heard Kacchan screaming from afar, the next thing I knew Kacchans was blasting over here and he punched me. My vision grew black.
I woke up in the nurses office, I rubbed my head and I looked up to see Kacchan in the doorway being scolded. Todoroki was by my side.
"T-Todoroki, what are you-"
"I was just checking on you, don't think anything of it." He got up and walked towards Kacchan since he got done being scolded by Aizawa. They both looked back at me then walked away. It felt like I just lost two friends, but for what, for the grape I fell in love with?
