Humanity, was long threatened and cursed with the blissful entity of materialistic world and it's resources. It was a matter of pure luck, humans weren't subdued by species other than their own blood, the art of traitorous behavioral traits were dormantly finding it's way from the darkest abyss of conscience towards their outer social forms. Thus starts a journey of a kid, in the darkest pit of reality.

"It was a plain usual day in Japan, indeed the day didn't have anything else to sum up to it's grandeur. The yellowish orb was still affixed at the head, as a rusty sound of grumbling bells sounded as the grand clock struck 12.Numerous kids emerged from their poorly summed up, a ghastly entity called "home" and ran, playing along each other along the long carved concreted road made by the humans which ended into a labyrinth of interconnected roads, leading a way into the visible city nearby. The so called slum children were playing, unnoticed of the calamity waiting for them in an short uncertain future. As modern city life was carried along the city and it's own rattrap, in a sudden awe the sky was clouded black, a pungent smell unearthly and dejected, erupted an entity over the horizon of the sky. A enormous thing which covered the entire sky, visibly covering as long as a human eye can see. Such huge was it, that people mistook it as a cloud or thunderstorm approaching as it was quite common in this serene climate.
Noticeably the huge craft had an intimidating yet deadly symbolism of an angel. As the huge craft stopped moving and remained still in midair, it looked like the silence before a thunderstorm.
Indeed it was the silence before the thunderstorm, all it did was launch a wave like light almost seeming like auroras, it wiped out every tinge of the city life in front in a single strike. The children playing were no longer seen anymore, while the visible magnificent view of the thriving country was now turned into a plain land devoid of any lives and human made settlements.

It was the first encounter of humans with the so called unknown species "Draids". It's unknown why and how the draids approached earth, but it was clear in a sudden epiphany that their mottos weren't peaceful. ", said a shaggy looking man, wearing the traditional military uniform with the printed and fixed USSR secret forces badge at his chest pocket. The badge proudly read, "Captain. Douglas Petrov". As affront him was keened vision of the last future of the scathed human race, the students.
Apparently it was a military school which provided war tactics as well as regular humane educations. Indeed, the day when Japan fell, the only country to resist these alien forces were the USSR soviet Union. Thus taking over control and evacuating every potential cities, alive humans, half dejected half lost their family half lost their parents were accommodated in the so called Valves, rigged deep underground. There were supposed to be 13 valves, but as there are no ways to contact these settlements, people left their hopes for the family and their instincts drove them to their own safety. Almost half of the children were dead, or killed in action, also illegal reproduction was banned by the authority. The sparkling energy of the children alive were transferred and moulded into killing intentions making them soldier. Such a deprived soul was a boy named corporal Tatsumi Von Racht. As children were given ranks right from the day they are admitted to schools, Tatsumi too was given a rank. It seemed the child lost his emotions as he saw his parents dying in front of his eyes at the first encounter at Japan. Instead, he was the only survivor at the area affected, now pronounced as Area-71. Area-71 were off limits to everyone, as walking in bare there will instant kill. The radiation levels were so high even the toughest anti radiation suits failed. So the only option to go outside was banned, only the higher ups in the military sent robotic drones towards the surface to scavenge food or water, machineries. High levels of radiation resulted in irregularities, as it snowed the whole year. The dejected earth was covered in white blanket of snow flakes, covering the entrance of the valve with thick ice of 120ft. So it was quite a hassle to bring out robots, and settlers there waited until summer to get out the robots to scavenge things. Tatsumi was in the robots and technology branch of the military. He was indeed a exceptional piece in the military, as everyone didn't get chances to be a engineer. Education thrived harsh in these valves, Tatsumi was supposed to be enlisted at the Military, to make robots and scavenge /help the settlers. Settlers in the valve had nothing to do the whole year, and the silence in the colony was too dreaded and deep to break. In an sudden awe the captain left the room saying "class is over for the day, students! ". As the students stood up honoring the experienced captain and bid him farewell. It was lunch time, the students gathered at the so called dim lit cafe. The cafe consists of a dim generator connected bulb, emitting a ghastly yellow beam over the scathed tables lying randomly over. Stretching a seat nearby, Tatsumi sat and silently ate the whitish liquid thingy meant to be food. As usual he wanted to get out if this manly hell and break out of this miserable prison, but his instincts told him to accept his fate and save his life.
In an uncultured dilemma another day at the rotten rat hole was over for him. He monotonically went ahead towards his quarters, opening the rusty door of his shelter, nothing waited for him other then utter resilience. He was too tired after the tiring class, and instantly plumped on the rough bed to sleep.
