Memories flooded into my mind as my boss referred to my father.
“You know, your father was a great man. Always sticking up for others. It’s a shame what happened to your mother. I mean like honestly. What a poor and painful death, she was-“
“I. Quit.”
“Sorry what was that?” he asked dumbfounded.
I let out a humorous laugh and shouted, “I QUIT! I QUIT! I QUIT! I QUIT! I, ASHLEY GRACE MOROINGSON, QUIT!”
“B..but you can’t.” He stumbled.
“Ohh, yes I can. By the way what happened to your hair?” I said giggling as I rubbed my hand on his shiny, pale bald head. “Ta, Ta now.”
“Wait! Please! No! You’re Moringson’s daughter you can’t leave. Your father is giving you this company in two weeks time! He wrote it in his will! Don’t you care?!”
“No thanks ass-licker!”
I sprinted out of the office and ran down the hall, doors on my left and right were opening as I ran down the hall with my temporary boss chasing. I glanced back turning my neck not watching where I ought to go. When out of no-where a large wall in planted infront of me. I stumbled back, catching my breath I glanced towards the elevator. Almost there Ash, almost.
“Father! What’s going on?” said a deep voice infront of me.
Oh crap, that’s not a wall.
“Good son, thanks for holding her down. Can you drag into the office please.”
I side stepped the man, not taking notice of his features or anything and sprinted to the now opening elevator. I ran in and quickly jabbed my finger on the close button. I looked out of the door to see the a man with a large grin plastered on his face. He walked in and walked towards me. I walked back not wanting to be caught or anything.
