Recap:
A few minutes later my phone buzzed again, "I caught Zach kissing another girl."
I held my phone in my hands staring at the screen in a state of shock. I couldn't figure out how to tell her what I was about to do.
"Ashlynn." I wrote, "You can't tell anyone but I'm actually on a plane to surprise him now..."
Carmen's POV:
I paced back and forth across my room, Ashlynn sat on my bed shaking her head. Under my breath I muttered in short bursts of phrases, whatever came to mind.
"How do you expect me not to freak out when I see his eyes looking back at mine." I spat out, out of breath, "It's always the eyes."
"You have a few options." She sighed before standing up and coming over to me, "You can face him like nothing happened or you can confront him. I suggest the second option"
Closing my mouth instantly after opening it to speak I realized she was right, I'd have to face him about this. Otherwise I wouldn't know where his head was at, or should I say is at.
...
Plugging in my earbuds and turning the music up on my phone I walked down the street the fall air brushing across my bare skin. My cheeks turning a brighter shade of pink from the crisp air.
The house came into view as I slowly made my way to the front door. My hand lifted shakily up to the door and knocked twice. The doorknob shook as my breathing hitched.
My ears filled with the sound of the door creaking open as a pair of arms instantly snaked around me. Silent sobs escaped from my mouth as tears slipped down my cheeks.
"Carmen." I heard quietly escape from Daniel's lips. A smile grew onto my face as I clung onto him tighter wiping the tears from my eyes.
"I missed you Seavey." I whispered.
"I missed you too...Avery." He smirked slightly.
"Don't look at me like that." I stated trying to hold a straight face.
"Like whattt?" He laughed drawing out his words.
"Daniel who is it?" I heard Jack yell from further inside of the house
Daniel smirked again and looked at me before yelling back, "It's actually for you."
I tried to contain my laughter as I watched Jack approach the door slowly. He looked flustered and was muttering things I couldn't make out under his breath. His gaze met my eyes and he threw himself on to me squeezing the life out of me.
"When did you get back? How's the family? So much has happened." He rambled on pulling me closer to him.
"Who are you talking to?" I heard before seeing Corbyn's face pop into door frame.
Jumping out of Jacks arms I hugged Corbyn tightly almost knocking him to the floor. Behind him stood Jonah who laughed and picked me up.
"Hey share some you guys, I missed my little sister." Jack whined from outside.
...
The four boys and I sat on the couch unaware of the fifth member who hadn't come down the stairs yet. Jack agreed that I should stay with the boys for at least a week but once again whined about how I had moved out and he wouldn't see me as much.
Footsteps sounded behind me as I shuttered slightly and forced my smile to form back onto my face. The smaller boy made his way around the couch not noticing me yet. Well smaller than the others, compared to me on the other hand..
All of us fell silent as he made his way towards me. His arms wrapped around my cold body and spun me around not wanting to let go. My head lay on his shoulder as my lip quivered out of fear.
My mind raced as he put me down, the smile on his face burning a hole into my heart. The words escaped my mouth faster than I could even muster up the balance to stand before him, "Can we talk? In private."
Everyone's faces fell from the bright smiles they were clinging onto and turned to expressions of confusion mixed with fear. Zach raised an eyebrow and brushed a hand through his hair, "Yeah, yeah why not, of course we can."
I grabbed his hand in mine and lead him to the backyard where I sat picking at the dead grass. They should really look into taking care of their yard, this is disappointing.
"You okay?" He asked, his eyes darting around before looking up to meet mine once again.
"What happened last night?" I spat out as fast as the thought came to mind.
"W-What do you mean?" He asked obviously taken back by what I had just said.
My face fell, "Zach, please don't lie to me. Just tell me what happened."
"Nothing. What do you mean?"
"Zach I saw a video from last night of someone who looked, a lot, like you and another girl.." I emphasized the a lot to get my point across as clearly as possibly. Does he think i'm stupid or something?
"I can't believe you right now Car." He shook his head before raising his voice, "Are you being serious?"
"Zach of course I'm being serious!" I yelled getting flustered, "Did you cheat on me or not?"
"N-no? I don't know!" He stuttered out.
I blinked quickly trying to block the tears from streaming from my eyes and ran back towards the house. Colliding with someone I felt multiple pairs of eyes on me.
I looked up from the spot I lay on the ground to see Jack standing beside the other boys. Fists formed with his hands, his usually calm demeanor replaced with one unseen by me before.
