Unexpected

I pick up another coffee mug and fill it with the last bit of steamy goodness before awaiting the arrival of the triplets from their deep slumber. Or more likely their head throbbing hangover. I had woken up in the clearing to the sound of mutilated chicken clucking. Only after I opened my eyes did I find out it was really Keaton standing above me while pecking at my head. I figured I better help him and the other two back home before they started trying to pluck one another. They fell asleep on the floor before they could even make it to their beds, and I had just left them there.

The thought slips out of my mind when I heard the light tapping of feet against the stairs. One by one the guys stumble into the kitchen and plop down on a stool. I bite my lip from making a face. Brandon has his glasses on because he isn't wearing his contacts and the whole left side of his hair is sticking straight up while the other side is smooth and styled. Jake's hair sticking up in multiple directions that even he can't make look good. And Keaton's eyes are bloodshot and he has a bit of drool dried on his chin.

I smirk and turn around "Morning sleeping beauties! how are you balls of sun-shines doing on this fine morning?" I ask in an over exaggerated and slightly louder than necessary voice.

They all groan while Jake flips me the finger. I smile and open the fridge while continuing on talking. "So what would you guys like this morning?" I ask while pulling out eggs, bacon and slamming the fridge door closed.

They make a muffled sound. I open the cabinets to pull out pans and at the last minute grab some pancake mix as well. I let go of the cabinet door and make an innocent face as it retracts loudly closed.

Keaton drops his head against the counter then gasps at his sudden mistake and grabs his head. Jake laughs "Idiot." Then he grasps his own head as well "Ow."

I suppress a laugh and begin to mix and bang the ingredients together. The whole while their griping at me but it basically comes out in groans. While everything is in the pans I pick up their mugs full of coffee and walk over to the part of the counter opposite them.

"Gosh why do you hate us so much Amy?" Brandon asks while cradling his head. Hearing him talk I indistinctly look over in the nearest reflective surface and check and see if the huge hickey I found on my neck this morning is still covered up. Lucky the makeup hasn't smudged so it's just a faded mark. I look at Brandon in the eyes and don't see any recognition of what happened last night so hopefully he doesn't remember.

"Oh let's see" I say while tapping one of the mugs to my chin. "You lie to me about going to burger King, force be to break into some random Zoo,"

"Actually, you went in on your own and-" I give Jake a look telling him to shut up and he gets the hint.

"You guys start drinking and acting like pixies on crack, and I have to help you guys across the wall while the whole time ya'll are basically sitting on my face making jokes about farting in it. And, and" I continue while cutting off Keaton before he has the chance to speak.

"All three of ya'll basically puked at the same time all over my brand new expensive shoes. Which I then chunked into ya'lls garbage in your bathroom, just saying."

They all look at me with their mouths hanging slightly open. Jake smirks "Gosh, you don't know how to have fun Amy. If you would have just chugged a couple of shots along with the rest of us you could have had a real party." He waggs his eyebrows suggestively. "Drinking can be fun."

I take the cups in my hands and set them down with an obnoxious clink on the counter in front of them and watch as they moan and go back to cradling their heads. I roll my eyes and laugh "Yup looks like real fun."
