Gumball's POV:
I put my things on the counter. Its my first - and my least favourite - class period, Math. For one, math is boring. What makes it worse is the fact that Marshall-freaking-Lee is in this class. What makes it horrible is that he sits right next to me.
"Everyone take out a piece of paper and start on the problems I've put up on the board." Said the teacher in a stern enough tone to make the class go silent for a few seconds before the chatter re-surfaced. The sound of zippers and binder rings filled the room.
Of course I felt a tap on my shoulder. This is always how the day starts. I turned and suddenely I'm facing Marshall. "What is it." I mutter, already knowing the answer.
"Yo, hand me a piece of paper Gum-ster" a wide yet tight lipped smile spread across his face. "Fine." I replied blandly, handing him a sheet of college-ruled paper.
Marshall's POV:
"Why so stern Gumboy?" I say, shoving him a little. Even though I don't want to, I know that my friends are watching this. "Stop." He grumbles, I get my face so close to him that I can smell his breath. It smelt of strawberries.
"What're'ya gonna do about it?" I stick out my tongue and bite it gently with my teeth. A light blush spreads across his face as the sound of chuckles fill the room, light yet audible.
I lean back in my seat, studying the boy as he lightly chews on his hot-pink mechanical pencil. His sweater that appears to be all too big drapes over his tiny frame. His big blue eyes fill with confusion as he jots something down. His leg is tapping rhythmically, as if mimicking a heart beat. A soft and barely noticible blush finds it way on to my face. I sink down in my chair and hide my face in my hoodie.
