Author's Note
I wrote this story like 2 years ago and figured if I was going to make this account I might as well post it. Hope you all like it please leave feed back.
here is a glossary for some words that i had to make up for the story
Calormorph- a palm sized device that is used to melt, mold, smooth and shape metal.
Caultavator- food storage. It is kind of like a vending machine, but there is not glass, it is simply built into the wall. There is a keyboard and an opening where the food is released from. To up the food in it, it opens like a trap door coming out from the wall. It also keeps each food at the correct temperature.
Kema- an orangish red fruit with a purple tint, that is native to Tanithea. It is about the size of an orange and tastes like a cross between strawberry and pineapple.
Phenovor- a device that is about the size of an IPod touch, but a bit thicker with a touch screen. On the back there is an area where it opens so mater can be put in it. The device then messes with the genetic makeup of whatever was put in it to turn it to whatever kind of food you have selected on the touch screen. The food simply materializes in front of you when it is completed.
TSNED- the space navigational flying device, it can not only be used for navigation but to communicate with others. It is basically a more advanced version of a GPS.
Saving Tanithea

When I was little my dad would always ask me, if I had to travel across the universe and I could only bring one person who would it be? Even though I was six and now I’m fourteen my answer has never changed, my best friend Derick. He would be the only one I would want to come because he is a genius, and he can fix anything. Also, he is determined and a great motivator; if I ever started to give up he wouldn’t let me. Above all else he can make me laugh even when I’m feeling my worst. He was the only one able to make me laugh for months after my mom died. So last week when my dad told me he needed me to travel back to Earth to get an invention that would fix our food problem, I knew exactly who I wanted to come with me. Derick.
Derick
I met Janessa when I was six. I had just moved to Tanithea from Earth. My dad wanted to make more discoveries, unlocking the full power of the brain. He figured if we moved here he could not only do it with fewer distractions, but meet more scientists that would be willing to help him. Like me, after he makes up his mind you can’t change it, so we packed up and left the planet. At the time I swore he was going mad. I didn’t see why people would want live anywhere but Earth. That is until I met Janessa. She’s the daughter of another scientist; she had no clue why anyone would what to live anywhere but Tanithea. She showed me the beauty and wonder of this place.
Our dads began to work together not only on unlocking the brain’s power but giving spaceships artificial gravity. When they could finally unlock more brain power successfully, they did it for Janessa and me. They made me extremely smart and gave Janessa the ability to move objects with her mind.
Now at fourteen we are closer than brother and sister. I would go to the ends of the galaxy for her, so when she told me she needed my help traveling back to Earth, it was given that I agreed.
Janessa
Derick and I decided that he would fly the spaceship. Then I would fire the missiles with my mind if we became under attack or do anything else that requires immediate action. With only a few hours left before we leave, he’s teaching me a few last minute thing about the ship.
