"Mason!" shouted Alexander as he made his way through the crowd of bustling middle schoolers.I turned my head to see who had called my name. "Oh, hey, Alex," I said wondering what he was so excited about. "didn't you hear?!" he yelled. "ok if it's about Miles and Alexes I already know". His smile faded as he looked at me in confusion. His eyes narrowed at me and his lips shifted in a crooked manner. "How do you know?" he squinted his eyes at me. "Oh please, Alex I'm a shipper, I always know," I said confidently. "Jeez, you ship like its a religion!" he said obviously mad I stole his thunder. " I wouldn't say that, but I always know!". I finished taking my things out of my locker and walked with him downstairs to our first-period Humanities. We walked in and sat down. Everyone gossiped about Miles and Alexes. Just as I set my things in order on my desk I got tapped on the shoulder. I turned in my seat shifting to the person. It was, of course, Kristin who is practically my long lost twin. "Hey I'm sure you heard, do you ship it?" she asked. " Them? Ha! No way they will fall apart in like a week". "How would you know?" I mean come on they don't even have one reason they like each other! "Hmmm, valid" she finally decided. "Duh!" I said sarcastically. The whole period I could hear people gossiping non stop about the two. I look around and see Miles, he of course was staring at Alexus. "Mr. Bower! is there something more interesting than the importance of paragraph writing?" Ms. Jackson snapped. I spun around facing her trying not to die from embarrassment. I can hear the snickers from the class engulfing me. "No Miss." I said as quickly as possible before burrowing my face into my hands. "Good. Now pay attention unless you want to work at McDonalds as a living" she retorted. The class roared with laughter before the class bully Garroth Murky stood up and pointed at Ms. Jackson saying "Your no better! You get payed seven dollars a week you old hag!". The class exploded with laughter. "Quiet down you brats" Ms. Jackson said with a scowl. " You will all miss your break for your rudeness." she continued. Just before normal break time it seems as if Ms. Jackson was about to jump out of the window so she dismissed us to break even though we where horrible. Once outside I ran to the table with my friends, Alexander, Miles (which was followed by Alexus), Sammy, and Daniel. We waited for the others to join us. Soon came Alexus's friends, Kristin, Mackenzie, Rebecca, Danielle, and lastly Lucinda. Us boys had never really meshed well; however, I on the other hand did. We would never sit and gossip about boy bands or boys or all these weird things. Instead we played good ole fashion tag. Mostly Sammy and I would stay and talk with he girls about school and life and things. After a few minutes of eating our snacks which Daniel calls "brain food" we went to play that game of tag. Soon enough the bell rang and we all swarmed the entrance smacking into the door frame of the sliding doors. In between periods the gang and I would sit up on these back back cubby things and talk about this game called Clash Royale. Suddenly in the middle of talk, Alexander grabbed me by the arm leading me from the oblivious group still blindly talking with out noticing the absents of their friends. "Hey Mason? Can I trust you?" Alexander said shaking. Both of his hands where on my shoulders at this point. "Yes? Whats wrong?" I asked. "I want to tell you who I like". I stood for a second, spacing out. I had never really seen any noticeable hints that might have gave it away. "Okayyyyy" I said hesitantly. He removed his hands off my shoulders and placed them on either side of my face. He then turned my head in the direction of the "Popular Girls". I can hear his breath shake. "You see Emma Brooks over there? She is right next to Maria" he said. "Yeah I know her. WAIT IS IT HER!" I shouted. He quickly placed his hand over my mouth and gave a slight nod. I tried to compute with this information but my head started to spin like crazy. "Mason? Mason?". I could hear someone calling my name. But who?
