The scream was ear piercing as the bullet swiftly entered her and ending her life quicker than the sudden scream. The scene was gruesome and despairing.

After a long rant the man finally paused to talk on the phone with someone.

Thank goodness! she thought. I didn't know if he was ever going to shut up!

She awkwardly sat in a red little chair watching this man on the other side of a desk in cream colored slacks and a white shirt talk on the phone.

I wonder if he does this to all the new transfers...

She looked at the small clock plaster on the wall and noticed it was 11:17. She gave a small sigh realizing she had been here for twenty minutes and it didn't seem like he would be letting her leave soon. She considered maybe just walking out of the office but she stopped to hear the door open behind her. She turned to see who it was, which she realized was dumb being that she wouldn't know anyone here of course.

None the less she turned to see a teen boy who seemed to be the same age as her, which is seventeen of course. His brown and gold hair pulled to one side looking as if the wind had brushed it perfectly. His white and black hollister making him seem beach ready. To say the least, he was attractive. Although she wasn't very interested in having relationships. Although she didn't want a repeat of last year, she didn't know what she wanted. Finally the male spoke.

"Dad, would you like me to show her around now?" He said looking to his father, not even glancing at the girl.

His father, or my principal, looked a bit exasperated but then nodded, finally letting me free from the room.

I got up from the creaky chair and swiftly walked out and let the male shut the door behind the two of us. Then waiting for him to take the lead, which of course he did.

I wonder if they know who I am I thought as if on cue he introduced himself.

"My name is Noah Coleson, if you couldn't tell the principal is my dad." He said sheepishly at the dad part. "What is your name? It's Emma right?"

"Yeah my name is Emma Carol." I said giving my full name.

After the bit of awkward talk he began showing me around the high school dormitory and a few of the classroom hallways. I had nearly forgotten this was a dormitory school.

I don't want things to work out like they did in Kensington High. West view is going to be my fresh start whether I like it or not. But I wish things hadn't go enough they way they had last year.

So I smiled almost sickeningly cheery at Noah. Although he raised an eyebrow at this, noticing the oddness. Although she ignored it and continued being friendly.

I need to make friends, I need innocent relationships, I need to stay out of trouble.

Soon it was lunch time which was convenient, since we had just arrived in the cafeteria. A herd of people already forming at the lunch line ready for their food. Although we went to a table with who I presume are his friends.

The first one she saw was a girl named Jessica (learns soon) with platinum hair that flowed perfectly down chest length to her black shirt making her the one to obviously stand out. Noah sat next to her, we all shared glances before introducing ourselves

"I'm Emma Carol." I said finishing awkwardly as I sat down sitting across from the two of them.

"I'm Jessica Becker, most people call me Jess or Jessica." Jessica said offering a nickname

We both smiled and talked a bit about our selves, getting to know each other. Maybe making friends wouldn't be so hard after all. Not long after we got to know each other a new stranger came along. He had similar hair color to Jessica's only shorter in length and more blonde like, styled like Noah's , and the frosty blue eyes popping out with his blue shirt.

How is it that everyone here looks so hot?

He looked at me questioning who I was when I spoke up to answer the question he never asked

"I'm Emma, I'm new here." I said waiting for his response.

"Hi Em, can I call you that?." pausing for my response until I nodded in approval "I'm Nathan Blake." He said casually.

He went and sat in the seat to Noah's left and we all started talking once again. In less of a formal way than before, more like how you would talk to your friends.

"So are you guys all friends with Noah, or?..." I said wanting to make sure everything was clear between all of us.

"Yeah." Nathan said

"Well I'm his girlfriend." Jessica blushing a bit

"Oh ok. That's cool I just wanted to know that.." I said suddenly awkward of the bluntness of my question. "That explains why you guys are holding hands." She laughed trying to make up for the awkwardness. Leaving everyone to suddenly look at the twos hands and laugh a bit. Although I think Noah enjoyed this a bit and decided to kiss her in front of us all making Nathan cringe a bit. Although Jessica was quick and turned her head away from him, embarrassed to do that with a new friend watching. This of course only made Noah laugh and for Jess to shove him a bit playfully. These people seemed like I could become great friends with them.

I think I might just be able to put Kensington behind me
