Life Bites

Chapter 1

    The day was normal, same old same old.My life had no meaning like always. I know I'm only a 13 year old girl but I've always felt like something was missing in my life. For awhile I thought it was a person so I filled my thoughts with people I could and have "loved". There was Alex, Caleb' Summer, Winter... But none of them really satisfied what I was really looking for and wanted. But I didn't know what I was wanting in the first place.
    I was thinking while brushing my teeth and getting ready for bed. I laid awake for a while just thinking like I always did.When I heard heavy footsteps in my backyard.
    I had gotten up to go look out my window to see if anyone was back there. my dogs started barking and growling loudly and aggressively. I looked out my window but didn't see anything and it was dark. So I went back to bed thinking it was just my imagination.
    I went back and laid down in my bed, my dogs still barking and growling made me angry. I couldn't think or sleep so I started my way up stairs.

"Shut up! There is nothing out there," I yelled.

    But as soon as I reached the tip if the stairs. There were glowing emerald eyes staring at me in the darkness of my hallway.
    Before I could react or scream the figure(who looked like a girl) ran towards me with at a nonhuman speed and twisted my neck to one side and bit me.
    I felt so hopeless and scared. That night my family had gone out and went to a midnight concert.I had not wanted to go because I didn't like the bad and wasn't feeling well so I made them go without me so they would have fun.But I was alone with my adopted sister Rose because she wasn't old enough to get in because she was only 11.I had feared for her life.A tear rolled down my face as I felt my energy and life slowly slip away from me and I passed out....
