Marinette was a normal and shy girl, quiet and always had her nose stuffed in a book. No matter where. No matter the book either! She rarely talked to anyone but everyone ADORED the sweet girl for her sweet kind acts of kindness wether it be helping on the farm to watching over little children. Her family worked in their small bakery, her Grandma always bringing her different books each day due to Marinette having a lot of time on her hands when she wasn't babysitting or baking with her family.
Was it bad that she rarely went outside? Yes. Was there a reason why she never went outside? Yes. The most 'Handsomest' guy in town absolutely adored the quiet girl, saying how she'll be a good quiet wife and do everything without a compliant. Who is this man? His name is Kim. So full of himself and unable to get sweet Marinette out of his head.
Today she was reading the tales of the castle that her grandma wrote for her, she hummed softly as she looked out the window to see the tips of the castle and she giggled, shaking her head. A small timeskip later, possibly a few months, Marinette had always been drawn to the castle, having always walked up a hill just to try and peek around the far away castle to see around it, sometimes inside of it. She thought someone was always watching her as well, in her homemade white dress and pink apron, a red bandana acting like a headband and pushing her hair back.
Today was the day, her family had got enough money to leave this dirty town to move to a better life and as they were leaving, Marinette received many gifts, her favorite was a lamb though, a mom repaid Mari for babysitting their girl with a lamb. As they walked along the shadowy, dark trail to the new town, she couldn't help but wander around until she slipped and fell on accident. What she didn't expect when she looked up is to see the castle, yet there it stood in all of its dark glory.
She felt like she had millions of eyes staring at her as she couldn't help but wander around, being adventuring and curious about the castle due to this is the place her grandma wrote about, especially the ball about a prince's birth. She slowly walked inside, a little hesitant as she looked around and sneezed softly, the place having a bit of dust. Yet, it looked amazing and she walked around, using the small map that her grandma explained to her. She also didn't expect little voices to be following her, none at all.
