Can a dragon become a wyrm?

To the realm of Earth

    The vortex swirled violently as it opened a portal to the realm called Earth.
"Will Gisselle be okay mother?" Asked Garrison, Gisselle's much older brother.
"Only time will tell little one," replied Gisselle's mother, Astronovia. "Now come along little one. It's time for your reading lesson. After all as bookwyrms it's our duty to bend and shape the universe."
"Coming mother!" Garrison called back taking one last look at the dragon egg that was slowly sinking down the portal.
Unknown to them, on the realm earth was a girl gifted with the ability to see mythological creatures. She was walking down the street when suddenly she spotted an abnormal egg on the sidewalk. She knew it wasn't a normal egg by its look and that people were walking through it. The egg was a dark green with white accents. It had cracked areas that were filled in with silver and rubies decorating it.
Carefully, the girl lifted up the egg and slipped it into her bag. The girl's name was Salva. Salva took the egg to her home and observed the egg. She identified it as a rare albino bookwyrm egg. She then took a large bowl and placed hot coals and volcanic rocks in it. Next she placed the egg in the bowl and added some hot water.
Thanks to the heat the egg started cracking more and more. Almost imediatly the cracks were filled in with silver until the whole egg was silver.
Finally a clawed arm scratched it's way out and broke away the shell. Out crawled a dragon-bird with white feathers and red eyes. As soon as it was out of the shell the dragon crawled onto a hot coal and started to lay down. It was soon sleeping quietly.
    "Awwww... This dragon is so cute!" Said Salva. "Hmmmm... I wonder what I should name her?" Just then the dragon started to snore loudly. The noise triggered a name in Salva's memory.
    "Well I guess I'll name you Gisselle," said Salva. When Salva was a young girl she once saw a sleeping gazelle snoring loudly.
    Meanwhile back in the realm of wyrms Garrison was practicing his powers of search. He was searching for Gisselle. He suddenly saw her in the bowl and stopped. Shocked he rushed out of the room telling his mother what he had seen immediately.
    "Oh no! We must hope that Gisselle doesn't get too attached to this realm. No meddling with Gisselle's future though," Gisselle's mother told Garrison. "Now hush little one and go back to practicing."
