 Alex's POV

The sign read, "Welcome to the Carnival!" in bright, flashing letters, engraved into the red, giant sign. "Chaos everywhere." I thought to myself silently, as I heard loud, annoying carnival music and kids running around or stuffing their faces with popcorn. The messy ground scattered with spilled drinks and tuffs of cotton candy. There were tons of rides and minigames. "Typical." I said to myself out loud.

"Alex!" Marshall called. I turned in that direction and saw him and Ashton smiling and waving at me. The two boys were my best friends for as long as I could remember. I grin and run over to them, "Hey, guys, what's up?" Ashton replied, "Well, nothing much, maybe we should go on some rides?" We looked around, seeing only kiddie rides and a Ferris wheel. "It doesn't look there are many rides." Marshall stated. "Oh, no there's plenty." I said sarcastically, "SMH in all caps." Ashton joked, as we all inhaled and shook our heads.

We laughed and started walking "I heard that there's a circus in the carnival. Should we go?" Marshall asked. "Are you crazy!?" Ashton exclaimed. "Yeah, what's your point?" Marshall smirked and Ashton rolled his eyes, I laughed a little. "I've heard of them, but I'm sure they must've removed the clowns, you know, so people aren't scared?" I said. Ashton raised his eyebrow, "Alex, the circus is practically made for clowns." "True." T responded. Marshall groaned, "Oh come on, guys! You need to live a little." "My way of living is sleeping and watching Netflix," I replied with a smile as Ashton laughed.

Marshall smiled and laughed as well, "Please, guys. There's nothing else to do." Me and Ashton looked at each other nervously. I turned to Marshall, "Let's do it." "Yes!" Marshall grinned doing a little happy dance. "I swear, if we die, Marshall I'm blaming you!" Ashton shook his head and kept on walking.
