Monday morning, I walked into the school building and went to my locker.

Ty ran up to me. "Have you heard? There's new students."

I looked at him.

"Two of them."

I took out my math and science binder. "Really?"

Ty nodded.

I closed my locker. "Seems like fun."

"Ha, ha." Ty said "That's not funny."

We started to homeroom.

"It is to me." I said

Ty smiled.

"We will never know." I said

We entered the room.

Someone was sitting in my seat.

"He's gone get it." Stef said

The guy looked up when I walked up to him.

"Um, hi..." he said

I gave him a cold, expressionless stare. "That's my seat."

He smiled. "I'm sorry."

He got up and moved.

Ty came over to me. "You're such a badass."

I rolled my eyes. "Thanks."

Our teacher walked in and we settled.

The bell for first period rang and I went to English.

"Well that was a weird home room." Zoey teased

I smiled. "I'm sure it was."

After class, I told Zoey I'd see her at gym then turned and went into the east wing.

I saw Jonah talking to Sean.

They both looked at me.

I continued to class.

I bumped into someone.

"I'm sorry." he said

I bent and picked up my binder and textbook as he did the same.

I stood and took my book out his hand.

He was cute. Black hair, blue eyes, tall.

I looked away. "Thanks."

Oh great I have math with him.

I entered the classroom and took a seat.

I was ahead of everyone in my grade so my paying attention didn't matter.

Taking notes was a waste of space.

"... Which leads to the answer. Gwen?"

I looked at him and answered correctly.

"Very good." he said "Mr Norris, question two."

The new guy looked nervous then he said his answer.

He was off by a number.

"Anyone care to help him?"

No one raised their hand.

I rose my hand.

"Gwen?"

"4,325 to 10."

I swear, I was the smartest person here right now.
