PROLOGUE

"Buti nalang nasalo kita!" said Carson who's now showing his evil smile. This mayabang guy really gets in my nerve.

I stood up as fast as I can, trying to gain back my composure after slipping because my killer 6 inches heels betrayed me. Prom Queen ka, Charity! Bakit ganyan agad pinakita mo?

"As if I'm asking for your help, Carson!" I said habang iniirapan siya. I heard gasps and whispers from the audience. Paano ba naman kasi tonight's our Senior Prom Night, and I just won Prom Queen and this guy beside me won Prom King. Right after kasi ng crowning moment, I slipped before everyone's eyes. Talking about nakakahiya? That's me!

Agad akong magmartsa pabalik sa table namin bago pa ako makapagsalita ng kung ano ano kay Carson. Nakakainis! Mas nagmukha pa tuloy akong kawawa dahil tinulungan niya ako.

"CHARITY CELESTIA ASHTEN!!!" someone shouted from my back. "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU? HOY KAHIT KAILAN TALAGA KUNG ANO ANO NANGYAYARI SAYO. KAY GANDA GANDA MONG BABAE TAPOS GANYAN? HINDI KITA PINALAKI NG GANYAN?" as expected, bubungangaan nanaman ako ng bestfriend ko dahil sa katangahang nangyari sa akin.

"What the heck, Lily? You're not my mother! Baliw ka talaga kahit kailan. Sorry, I just slipped because this 6 inches betrayed me. As if I like what happened." sabi ko sabay irap, clearing to her that it's not my fault but my shoes' were.

"Titig na titig kasi sa Prom King niya kaya ganun." she wiggled her eyebrows with nang-aasar na tono.

"Hey! Stop using that tone on me ah! Baka ilaglag kita dyan kay Chard." now it's my turn to make fun of her.

"H-hey C-chari! Joke lang, ikaw naman. Magkaibigan tayo dito diba?" she said with a surrendering tone. I laughed with satisfaction. Everytime kasi na she makes fun of me, I blackmail her with that, na ilalaglag ko siya kay Richard. Richard Spencer Arzola, Lily's apple of the eye, pero hindi siya type ni Richard so bye girl.

"Oo na, Lilian Reila Sertona! Hindi na ako mang-aasar. Just don't make fun of me with that Carson. Bakit ba Prom King siya, di naman gwapo. Ew lang no? Tas siya pa makakasama ko sa royalty table mamaya. Sa dinami dami ng gwapo na batchmate natin, bakit siya pa nanalong Pro—"

"Hey, my queen. Tapos kana ba sa pagrarant mo about me? Can I take you to our table now? Come, aalalayan kita. I won't let you slip again, alright?" napatulala ako sa nagsasalita sa harap ko at nung ma-snap ko yung sarili ko sa reality, napatingin ako sa paligid and saw how shocked Lily.

I tried to act as if Carson didn't lend his hand on me. Naglakad lang ako alone going to the royalty table. C'mon, let's just get this night done, ayokong makatabi yang si Carson ng matagal. The nerve of that guy!

Naupo ako once narating ko ang table na nakapwesto sa harap. So this is the treatment we got from winning, huh? Okay na sana eh, best night for me na sana kasi I'm the queen kaso ang pangit at nakakaasar kasi ang king ko. Sayang lang!

"What's with the face, queen? A queen should smile often and enjoy her reign. Bakit parang kabaliktaran naman sayo? Smile, pretty girl! You didn't win para lang sumimangot ka ng ganyan." tuloy tuloy na pagcocomfort sa akin ni Carson. What the actual hell am I in? Hindi ba siya nakakaramdam na ayaw ko sa kanya?

"Hey, you know what, gorg? Maganda kung magsasayaw tayo! Look at those good looking couple oh? We should join them!" he said ng nakanguso without a single hint of displeasure from my attitude.

"Oh! I'll tell you a story nalang, para hindi tayo mabored. Is it ok—"

"Please, Carson? Hindi ba malinaw sayo na ayaw ko sayo. AYAW. A-Y-A-W. Alin sa salitang ayaw ang hindi mo maintindihan ha? Hindi ako natutuwa sayo. Mas magandang hindi nalang ako nanalo. Kung alam ko lang na ikaw ang mananalo, edi sana hindi ko nalang ginalingan diba? Don't you get it? Ano? Manhid ka ba? Ayoko sa katulad mong playboy. AYOKO! Do you think I'll still fall for your lies, AGAIN? No! I will not do the same mistake again!" I stormed with a lot of anger. Shit, this is my last prom and now it's ruined. Me being a queen just for tonight is ruined. All ruined because of that Carson. I ran as fast as I could to the girl's comfort room.
