"I got a new job in Findlay and I must say I am hella nervous about moving to a new country with different cultures. I haven't left Texas all my life and this seems to be a very big step in my life and career. My dad and brothers have tried to talk me out of moving so far away from home but it's time for change. In all 25years of my life. I haven't had much excitement because of my overly protective father and three big brothers. They are huge buzz kills. I am a woman of my own and I would like to have some freedom. Finland here I fucking come!" Demi writes into her diary and closes it immediately she hears someone coming up her stairs
Her best friend Barbara walked into her room , 'hey bitch, have you packed all your things? Well knowing you, I am sure you haven't even started packing' Barbara said to her friend. " You know me so well, I don't even know where to start Barbs" Demi said , frustrated!
" Well good thing you have me in your life, I don't even know how you will survive in Finland without me " Barbara rolls her eyes at her lazy friend
" I honestly don't know how I will survive without you Barbie, we have never been apart. Are you sure I am making a good decision by leaving? I am honestly starting to freak out Barbs" Demi admitted
"You will be just fine sweet cakes, besides there are lots of hot Finland guys that will take good care of you" Barbara comforted Demi
Demi laughed "mahn I swear all you think of is Men, I sure will miss you chicka" she wipes a year from her eyes .
'i will miss you too hun , now let's drop the mushiness and start packing. Your flight is in 15hours and you haven't even started" Barbara scolded her friend
Three hours later, Demi's mum walked into Demi's room and gasped at how empty the room looked
"Wow this is really happening, my baby is moving a thousand miles away" Demi's mom quietly sobbed.
"Mum we talked about this, no crying okay? Because if you start crying , I'll start crying, then Barbara will start crying and you would unleash an eternal flood gate " Demi scolded
"Okay , okay no tears, I will just miss you so much. It's hard for a mother to watch her baby leave the nest. You grew up too fast" Demi's mom complained
"I will come home to visit often mom, I promise. Now come help me pack up before dad and your sons come and try talk me out of leaving again' Demi said
After hours of packing, they were finally done with packing . And they went downstairs to join the rest of the family for dinner
Demi's dad : what have you three been up to all day? I have hardly seen you guys all day.
Barbara: we were helping Demi pack up for tomorrow Mr B.
Demi's dad: you really are leaving tomorrow aren't you? *He turns to Demi*
Demi : yes Dad, we've talked about this for months. I am really going
Demi's Dad : I won't lie that I am happy about this, I am worried about my little pumpkin but I guess you have made up your mind and there's no way to convince you anymore.
Demi : thanks Dad, I will really miss you. And I promise to take care of myself. I still have the pepper spray and the taser you gave me for Christmas, ain't no messing with me
Demi's dad: that's my girl, now eat up and go get some rest. You have a long day tomorrow. Your brothers said they would come over to take you to the airport tomorrow morning.
Demi: thanks Dad. Goodnight. I love you
