Life is a gift, some people may not believe that, but it's true. Life is a literal miracle. After your parents have done the nasty and if the dad *ahem* you know, there is at least a chance of one in a million of pregnancy. Keep that in mind. It has its ups and downs, like a roller coaster. Sure, life can suck at times, but don't let that get you down. Your life is a literal miracle.

I was woken up by one of my peers. Her voice was loud and scratchy. I was quite surprised that she didn't get in trouble.

"LUNA!!" The person yelled. I snapped my head in her direction, my eyes nearly sealed shut.

I gave her a confused look, but I got back to work, ignoring her for the rest of the class.

The bell rang after a few minutes and I was off to my next class, gym. The school I go to is none other than Maury Academy, one of the top schools in the world. After hearing that, one may think it's nearly impossible to graduate. That is not true, in order to go, you need to pass a difficult series of exams, so only the best and smartest are accepted (even then, at least one person doesn't graduate).

Since the school is an elite school, that practically means we have all the money in the world. The campus is HUGE, we've got multiple cafés, a huge field, and we even have a barn with horses!

As I was walking over to the barn, I remembered that my next class isn't until 5:00 pm (2 hours till class). I texted my friends and told them to meet me at the stables. Students at Maury can make their own schedule, or they can have staff make it for them. Most people try to take advantage of this (including me), so we space our classes apart.

I was standing in front of my horse's stall as I was waiting for my friends to show up. I won my horse, Hercules in an auction not too long ago. If he didn't get a new owner, then his previous owners would put him to sleep. Ever since then, Hercules has been my best pal, and friend.

The sound of footsteps filled my ears, but I ignored them. I closed my eyes for a brief moment, and when I opened them, I noticed that I was pinned to the wall by none other than, Samuel Adamsky. His face was close to mine, and it held a dirty smirk. At that very moment, I felt like I wanted to vomit all over, but I wasn't going to do that. So, instead, I made a gag noise and pushed him away from me.

Hercules seemed to notice my uneasiness, and started bobbing his head up and down while snorting. Soon after, I heard more footsteps and I noticed that they were caused by my friends.

The three of them immediately ran over to me to see if I was ok, and I was.

"Luna, are you ok? Did Samuel hurt you?" Ashley asked, worry present in her voice. I nodded as an answer and she had a relieved look on her face.

I started to feel a bit stressed out, so I left a note on the wall saying that I won't be in class and that I will take full responsibility for my work.

All three of us made our way the the dorms, sharing our stories about the day. I wasn't paying close attention to what anyone was saying, or what was around me. The price I had to pay for that wasn't great. I ran straight into a lamp post. I paused for a moment before kicking it and walking away.

"Hey Luna," Amilia asked, "Yeah?" I replied back, finally, someone got me to snap back into reality!

"What are you doing later today?" "Well, it's a Friday, so I'll be playing video games with Mason all night." I answered, quickly losing interest in the conversation.

Amilia stopped walking and looked at me with a strange look. "Why him? Why don't you cancel and go see a movie with the rest of us?" Amilia replied in the snarkiest way possible. "No thanks, tonight is a big deal for the gaming community. You see, there is this competition in which a max of 100 people can qualify for, and only 10 people can win. Mason and I received a letter saying that we qualified and that we'll be competing. The 10 people left will get to spend the entire summer in a mansion in the German Alps. So, Mason and I are determined to win. I honestly think that this is an ideal way to spend your summer after graduation, am I right?" I explained, everyone went completely silent, and I didn't feel like explaining the competition again, so I waved goodbye and walked the rest of the way to my dorm.
