Change Me - Chapter 19

"This is our beautiful daughter!" My mom said looking at my father. He made his way towards me.

"Indeed she is." He said grabbing my hand and placing a kiss on it. I felt disgust fill my body. He's never acted like this to me. He's never been..."nice". He's never acted like a father. Instead, he's made me the last one. He's treated me broadly because of my past. Pathetic. Instead I decide to show sympathy in front of my mom to him.

"Thank you father.." I said bowing down. Acting like he didn't ever do anything to me. I looked around.

"Mother why am I dress like this?" I asked, confused... What event?

"Oh Hunny.." She said disappointed. A funeral..?

"I can't believe you forgot!" She said as astonished as I was at the moment. There anniversary?

"Babe! It's Prom night!" She said happily as she brought me into a tight hug.

"W-what?!" My eyes widened. Who's taking me? I've been gone!? How would I know it's prom!? Just as those thoughts raced in my head, the doorbell was rung. My mother yelled in pleasure and ran to the door. Swinging it open. My eyes were still wide..

"Hello Mrs. Cole. It's a pleasure." A deep man voice spread though out the room.

"Oh, what a gentleman! Come in John!"

John?........John.......John? My head spun, when my mother said that name.

"John."

I stood there expressionless. My mother ran to me prancing about.

She slowly leaned in, and whispered to me.

"This is Surprise number 2! John will give you surprise number 3 at Prom!!" She whispered a bit to loudly. I looked over at my dad. He was smiling widely. He was in on this too. I looked back at the door. John had a big smirk plastered on his face. And I guess he's in on it also. Not wanting to disappoint my mom with my behavior, I plastered a smile on my face. Then I gradually walked towards john.

He bowed down And took my hand. He looked sternly at my parents.

"I'll bring your beautiful daughter back at midnight."

My mother squealed.

"Have fun!!!" My mother yelled once again.

"We will have someone escort your new car to the school. So you can drive yourself home Breanna." My father said afterwards." I have an extra key." I gave him a small glare. John tugged at me to get out. I began following him. My parents followed close behind us. I'm going to cuss this motherfucker out once my parents are out of sight. He opened the door to a car and I measly stepped inside taking a seat.

"Bye Breanna!!!" I heard my mother once more. John sat right next to me and the car took off.

"Fuck you." I said crossing my arms.

"Come on, babe. I haven't seen you in a long time." He said leaning closely to me. I scooted away.

"No! How can you do this? I don't want to go to prom. Stop the car." I said getting impatient. I didn't pay attention...but we were in a limo.

"Breanna. You can't do this to your parents. They payed for all this. Or else I can tell them you were gone for 3 months...with a killer." He said getting closer his last words made my heart stop.
